Nope, no where near the likes of VC, it's an Action RPG and a damn good one at that. The best that I can compare it to, is think of Diablo, but in 3D and much more challenging. Seriously, it is a GREAT game and I would wish they would port it over to the other territories.
It is the best ARPG out there right now. This has become my favorite game since MGS4...and maybe Dead Space (I really liked that game).
A real gem of a game, that sadly has not been shipped across the sea.

That sounds to me that they have something in the works for the 360, hopefully for the PS3 as well. Only time will tell, so it's just time to be patient. We'll find out soon enough.

Yes, it has only been released in the Asian territories...so far. I imported it and like I said above, I am very glad that I did.
For those that are wanting/going to import this game, be sure to get either the Asian (Hong Kong) or Korean version, for they both have full english voice and text.
I really wished that it did better sales wise than it did, just for the sole reason of wanting a sequel.
...bring out to the west. I know some have said the difficulty of DS would turn a lot of gamers away from the game, but for me personally, it's what has kept me playing it. It's hard, but not cheaply so...does that make sense? Yes, you will die...A LOT, but not in a frustrating manner. Each time you die, you can see where or how you made a mistake and learn from it.

Then you should really play it then. I was a bit "meh, maybe..." with it, until I read what gamers were saying about it. The challenging but rewarding difficulty really got me interested. So after reading up and checking out various reviews, I went ahead and imported it. I have to say, it has been the best import I have personally purchased.
Like Pennywise said, just because of Demon's Souls alone, I am quite interested to see what their next game will be.
My dad was in service during then and he does play video games...mainly the CoD games. He also gets online with other gamers around his age all the time. While I will agree that this may not be the norm, but there are 50+ gamers out there.
1) the new motion controlls.
2) the new xbox 720 whatever.
and it's also the last model to have backwards compatibility, 4 USB slots and the memory card slots. Just the B/C alone is enough for people to want to get it.
So yeah, I think it will sell out pretty quickly.

You might have something there...or it could be that Amazon finally got an okay from Sony to finally sell them off. I'm hoping for the former.

IMO, if you are still on the fence about getting a PS3 or not, this is the best deal, so you better get one of these before they are all sold out.

to play a great game. Hitman is one of my all-time favorite franchises. I too hope to hear something about the next one during E3. I also hope that the square takeover doesn't muck with it's development time or gameplay.

I agree wholeheartedly. It is definitely one of the best JRPGs in a long while. Honestly, this game is in my top 5, maybe 3, games that I have played in this generation of consoles.
Now I will say though, the game is hard, but not frustratingly so. Any game where you die as often as you do in this game, has to be classified as a hard game. You really learn by dieing in this game. The best part of it all, is that none of your deaths feel cheap. How many other games can you...
