@HUlk: I agree with you there. My kids have a WiiU and they liked the tablet at first, but now it is old news and they rarely play it. Another problem are the games. We go to the store and there aren't any games that they want to buy on that console. That should be changing soon.

@Hyrdrolex: Yes, the rule is supposed to be the customer is always right, but M$ has rarely gone the ways of a true capitalist company.

And mainly from 1 console games. That's why it is hard for me to swallow what he says.

Now I do think that used game sales do affect a publishers bottom line, but not the affect that they are going on about. But as it is with most major companies, anything that affects their profit, no matter how minor or major, bothers them and they want every single crumb they can get from the pie.

But some can argue, well it is their pie, so they have the right and tha...

I'm the same way. I like to have that physical copy of a game. I don't know if it is because it makes me feel like I own it more over digital, or like to see it standing with the rest of my collection or if it's just the feeling of bringing the game home, opening it up and taking a big whiff of that new game smell...maybe it's all the above.

But I have bought digital copies, usually shorter and harder to find games, but doesn't quite feel the same. Also, i...

The PS2 came out during a bad time in my life too and helped me get through it. Crazy to think about, really.

I'm right with you on this one. The last of the kind and the best console period.

Yes and no, weekev15.

Capitalism is based off free market or free enterprise ideals, which is driven by private decision, as in consumers' wallets and the competition.

What I see M$ doing leans more to being monopolistic, which is anti-free market, anti-capitalistic. Something they have always done since windows first came out.

Absolutely correct, fr0sty.

"Capitalism: 1.free-market system: an economic system based on the private ownership of the means of production and distribution of goods, characterized by a free competitive market and motivation by profit"

Does that definition sound like what M$ is doing with the X1?

That was funny, Pedrobear.

And FamilyGuy, don't be too surprised if they actually take that idea and run with it.

I agree. The closest I can remember is the PS3 with it's $600 price tag and "get a 2nd job" comments. But even then, it wasn't as bad as this one.

I am also alarmed that whoever made $8965 in a few weeks. Wow, I should click on the link to find out how! /s

As I stated before, it's not just as simple as "who doesn't have internet and can still afford a $500 console". Internet access in your area may not be as good as in another. Also, how about if someone gets laid off, loses hours or just flat out loses their job (which is quite common these days)? One of the first things people may cut to make ends meet, is internet. So they wouldn't be able to play on a system they paid $500 for.

You can use "they&#...

I agree. I just wish they would give us a release date.

As I pointed out in another post, what if someone gets laid off, loses hours or just flat loses their job? Internet is one of the first things many may cut to help make ends meet. If this happens, they can't play on a system that they paid 500 bucks for.

4007d ago 1 agree0 disagreeView comment

It's not just about who does or does not have decent internet access in their area. For example, let's say someone gets laid off, lose hours from work or loses his/her job period (which is something that happens far too often these days) and has to cut costs. Internet is one of the first things they may decide to cut to make ends meet. In this case, they would not be aloud to play something that they paid 500 bucks for.

What about military personnel? What if they get...

While I wouldn't say that GTA4 "sucked FULLSTOP", IMO, it was the lesser of the rest.

I would like to see a return of the RPG element that you speak of. I would also like a return of rewards for completing collectibles, police/ambulance missions and buying property.

I'm not the first to say this, but 4 felt like a gimped version compared to at least the last two.

I doubt it will be. I can't see how they have you play him for the first two games, but have it end the way it did. I have a strong feeling Hale will play a huge role in this next game...be it good or bad for humanity.

I don't think you are. This sounds like the most plausible choice, IMO. That, or the fact of M$ publishing the first one, thus giving them sole publishing rights solely for consoles.

But it just may be as you said. M$ purchased or owned the right for the ME trilogy and by doing it this way, they were able to get around that wording.

Where in AZ are you at? I live in East Mesa and I too get screwed up from time to time trying to figure out time zones. Spring forward, Fall back...gives me a headache.
