I'm pretty sure the US boxart will be better, it usually is.
Gears of War 2 is AAA, Resistance 2 falls a little short of AAA. A strong B+ for Resistance 2. Maybe like an 88% or 89%.
The original Gears of War was well better than the original Resistance. And while Resistance 2 has closed the gap. It's not quite at the level of Gears of War just yet.

That Sony is choosing to take the battle to 360 in other regions. They feel that they can't loose Japan to 360.
The weekly sales of these consoles in Japan are still small. 3k or 4k difference a week isn't a big deal in the big picture. Especially considering that Microsoft has paid for all Japanese RPGs.

I think they figure that they can't loose in Japan against 360. And in the big picture, they aren't. The sales of both consoles are very small right now, and with a few moves like an anticipated game or a price cut the PS3 could be back on top in Japan.

I think the PS3 is rolling now. The only problem is the price, it needs some price cuting to seriously start putting the 360 away.

The PS3 has like twice the install base of 360 in Japan. This is with the 360 being out a year longer.
