I like your idea. Maybe they did see how much people are looking forward to this game already I love the beautiful art style and it has a lot of charm

I've seen videos of people playing shooters with the Dualsense and they literally have to pause the game to say how great it is

I absolutely agree. I think there's a different business strategy for these companies. I think Playstation wants to push the envelope much more in real time graphics and generational leaps
I believe MS wants to blur the lines between generations like they've said before and they want most gamers on their services. MS cares less about console gaming longevity because Sony and Nintendo have been so dominant
You're right about one thing and there's no mandate for developers to use the Geometry Engine currently but once they do they'll have even more control over the geometry culling and yes it is more custom and likely better than the XSX's geometry processing

Yes. Geometry Engine + Sony's custom VRS eliminating the vertices processing hit seems to be more advanced than the XSX's VRS implementation
This and I think it's their behind the scenes focus on low latency, high bandwidth and getting more cache hits instead of misses. The PS5 seems like a very well designed console
