Red Dead Redemption, Diablo, all MMORPG's, and Gears of War...these are frachises I never really got into that everyone loves. For the longest time I thought Borderlands and Halo were really lame, but I've changed my mind drastically on both of those. Killzone and Dark Souls/Demon Souls are games that I really enjoy that a lot of people around me don't enjoy.
Reading through this, I guess not too many people share my opinion of KZ3 being better than 2 and Dark Souls being better than Demon's Souls...I liked KZ2 and Demons Souls, but I still play their sequels like it's my job.
My personal faves (honestly surprised to see so many of them already mentioned)
1. Dark Souls
2. Bioshock
3. Mass Effect 2
4. Super Mario Galaxy
5. Metal Gear Solid 4
6. Killzone 3
7. Zelda: Twilight Princess
8. Infamous 2
9. Fallout 3
10.Rayman Origins
Honorable mentions: Halo reach, Assassin's Creed 2, God of War 3, Uncharted 2, Skyrim, Ratchet & Clank FTOD, New Super Mario Bros...
Am I the only one that didn't think Arkham Asylum was all that impressive? I liked it, but I guess I kinda felt like people were giving it more praise than it warranted just because it was a batman game that didn't suck. I loved all the Uncharted, Assassin's Creed and God of War games. I'm still excited about Arkham City (if I can pull myself away from Dark Souls long enough to play it) but I find it hard to be as swayed by the hype this time. I can't really pinpoint my di...
I just jumped back into PC gaming after a 6 year hiatus...I own all 3 consoles...my thoughts...
Of course the graphics are considerably better on PC, and I like the mods and cheaper prices, but I (personally) think console and PC are about even.
The main reason being that consoles just have more games, are far less hassle (imo), and sometimes better graphics just take a backseat to actually being able to find friends to play with.
I really d...
I have only tried the PC version thus far. I'll admit that I was a bit let down by Operation Metro, but after playing Caspian Border a couple times in Conquest mode...I am sold. It actually made me like Op Metro a little better because I was able to let go of some of my concerns about the whole game being too much like COD.
BTW...it's strange, I know at least 10 people playing BF3 Beta on either console or PC and all of them seem to love it...I'm actually surpris...
A lot of times I would have a problem with doing the same thing over and over, but demons souls was an exception...the leveling up system was fantastic and it always felt so satisfying when you finally beat a part that was giving you so much trouble. I'm feeling slightly intimidated by Dark Souls being more difficult, but I honestly can't say I'm looking forward to any game more than this...except for Battlefield 3.
Totally agree...it's jaw-dropping beautiful, massive, and in conquest mode (which I like better personally). They should have used Caspian Border for the beta instead...Op Metro feels more like COD. I can't wait for this game to come out.
They are trying to find a bigger audience for this game by taking it multiplatform. That concerns me. Aside from a handful of EA and Rockstar games, exclusives (regardless of console) are almost always better games. I hope not too much is lost, creatively, in the transition. With that said, I can't wait for this to come out, the trailer looks amazing, i'll buy it day one with no questions asked. Funny thing is, I'll probably end up picking it up for 360, just to give my poor ps3 a...
I own COD, Halo, Battlefield, Killzone and Resistance titles. I loved all of them. I haven't completed the campaign on any of them...campaign mode sucks on all of these titles. If you want a good FPS campaign you pick up something like Bioshock or FEAR.
Until yesterday Battlefield Bad Company 2 was my favorite FPS multiplayer ever. But KZ3 is a beast...it's virtually flawless online. Even with only 1 map it is (for me) easily more enjoyable than both Black Ops and Rea...
I've been a Playstation Guy for a long time, at this point, I've played every exclusive they have. I got a 360 a few months ago and started in on all of their exclusives. I must say I have grown quite fond of the 360, and have been playing multi-plats on that console, also...yeah Live is a little more fast and reliable than PSN. One more thing, the controller...I find myself getting upset when I have to go back to the PS3 pad for shooters. The thing is, as I look at the onslaught of g...
***Twisted Metal has a release date of 3/31/11 according to gamefly...i'm not sure how accurate it is but if it's true...then I will have LBP2, Portal 2, Killzone 3 and Twisted metal in the first quarter of the year??? that's pretty exciting.
Amazing. I can't believe how much they've improved since the first lbp.
thank you
can some one tell me how long it is until the show. I live in indiana and our time zones are all screwy...does it start in a half hour, or hour and a half?
I've got a new girlfriend that likes video games...maybe not as much as me. She always had a 360 and was missing halo and fable. I just got resistance 2 as i think it's the closest to halo, and she really likes it, and she's obsessed with LittleBigPlanet...gonna try out Assassin's Creed 2 and Dead Space next...lol.
Anyway, yeah with my ex I definitely would have rather been caught looking at porn, than N4g...she just couldn't understand.
I feel like I have ...
My (ex)gf liked to play: Rock Band, Buzz Quiz, resident evil, singstar and burnout. Thats it. She loved watching me play Uncharted, Bioshock, Heavy Rain, God of War and strangely enough NBA Live; but would not make an effort to try them. Games she hated (and was WAY too vocal about): Pixeljunk Monsters, Pixeljunk Eden, LittleBigPlanet, KZ2, BFBC2, and inFamous. My proudest moment was when she saw one of my friends playing halo 3 and said she understood why i never played the 360 she bought me...
I'd like to see a futuristic GTA. I've wanted that since i played the last Jak & Daxter game. Which btw a new Jak & Daxter game would be great.
I have a pc that as of now can run any game out on the highest graphical settings. I love it. But I am really excited about the PS4. The thing that haters of the playstation brand don't seem to understand is that Sony exclusives are...for my gaming tastes, some of the best gaming experiences around. I understand that it isn't everyone's cup of tea, but the PC and Xbox rarely offer exclusive games that can compete with Sony...and really even Nintendo IMO. So when an amazing games c...
