Actually, I am speaking to exclusives this gen in general. On both sides they have been underwhelming. Although I quite like The Order 1886 and Driveclub, I know how the general public feels about them...but Halo 5 was just that much of a letdown imo.I borrowed an Xbox one just to play it. Hated it. I loved 2 through Reach, but they really messed up the story on 5.

Also...forgot about Sunset Overdrive, but dude I hate Forza as much as I hate Gran Turismo. Driveclub is not c...

It may not be for you, but Resogun is probably the best arcade game I've ever played, and graphically it is easily the most impressive game on either console. I agree with TFJWM, there isn't a single exclusive on Xbox One yet that is better than Resogun. Or Bloodborne, Ratchet and Clank, Disgaea 5, Until Dawn or Driveclub. Sadly Order 1886, LittleBigPlanet 3, Tearaway Unfolded, and Infamous Second Son are also better than Halo 5...literally the only exclusive on the system that matter...

The last few years have brought us Soma, Transistor, The Last of Us, Dishonored, Witcher 3, Bioshock, GTA 5 and Life is Strange. All games where the story was intriguing enough that I wanted to finish them just to see what was going to happen. Things are getting a little better. To be honest, I don't know if I've seen 10 movies in the last 5 years that were as interesting these games.

Lol...figures that the first time ever that I don't make some obligatory mention of Demon's Souls in comments referencing the "Souls series" somebody calls me out on it like I didn't import it and play it to death before most of the population even knew what it was.

Must I also mention King's Field just to prove myself?

Whine all you want about how much this game borrows from Dark Souls (even though it borrows equally from Castlevania -much like DS itself). I am actually quite alright with "Souls-like" becoming a sub genre. If Dark Souls 3 really is that last one, it is going to leave a massive gaping void in my life when it's truly gone. I'm not sure that anyone will ever match or surpass DS; but, I say, let them try.

Salt and Sanctuary is the first one to get it right. T...

Agreed. I hope that the other "Souls-like," games coming this year (like Eitr) are just as good. This was exactly what I needed to help with the anticipation and anxiousness of waiting for DS3. What's even better is the game has couch co-op and my girlfriend is playing with me. Didn't see that coming. Might be time to consider getting married.

So excited about Salt and Sanctuary. Two of my all-time favorite games are Dark Souls and Castlevania: Symphony of the Night. This game looks tailor-made for me. Throwing in co-op makes it sound all that much better. I really hope it's not disappointing.

I like the Division a lot, but I'd consider it a pretty sad year if I like it more that Dark Souls 3, Persona 5, No Mans Sky, The Last Guardian, Dishonored 2, Uncharted 4, Dreams, Horizon, Adrift, Doom, Final Fantasy, Nier:Automata, Ni No Kuni 2 (one can dream), Ark, Ni-oh, Hyper Light Drifter, Abzu, Eitr, Civilization 6, Cuphead, Sea of Thieves, and Quantum Break.

That would be very sad indeed.

If the Division would have released in the same year as Dest...

Also totally okay with Uncharted slipping back. R&C and Alienation are must plays...but Dark Souls 3 and Salt and Sanctuary will probably still be my top priorities for April.

Far Cry 4 and, it seems, Primal, Dragon Age Inquisition, Assassin's Creed/Batman/Mordor, and as much as I hate to say it, Fallout 4, all eventually felt like a let down. The thing is I refuse to believe that I just don't like open world games, I'm playing Divinity: Original Sin right now, and I love it. Witcher was pretty great, (felt bored occasionally), It's been a minute, but I remember GTA5 and Far Cry 3 fondly. The thing that all those games have in common is that I enjoy...

Absolutely terrible. Don't bother.

Is this legit info? I can actually play with friends like in Bloodborne? That is huge. Don't get me wrong, I've always loved the multiplayer in Dark Souls, but being able to run through the game with a friend was pretty great in Bloodborne.

Is it part of a different skill tree? Took me a moment to realize that these were only skills from one out of 3 (?) trees. I like the look of the bouncing seeker mines a lot. I noticed in the beta that it looked like you could eventually equip 3 skills at once. Great news, since I think I will find it hard to let go of the heal skill.

Crypt of the Necrodancer, Firewatch, Gravity Rush, and Unravel. I hope that Far Cry is good, and I'm curious about Digimon but a lot of indie and downloadable games are catching my interest this month.

Definitely downgraded, but it doesn't look terrible. More importantly though...it's surprisingly fun. It's the first beta I've played in a long time that didn't actually convince me to not buy the game. When the year ends, The Division will be among the top 5 biggest sellers...as a new IP, in quite possibly the best year ever for video game releases.

Crypt of the Necrodancer, Severed, and Salt and Sanctuary should all be awesome as well. Holding out hope for western release of Dragon Quest Builders. This might actually be a pretty decent year for vita.

Despite it stupid name, Nom Nom Galaxy is actually pretty great too. It's a pixeljunk game. I've been playing the game pretty obsessively with my girlfriend. Sucks that I own both games already, but it's definitely the best month in awhile.
