I believe it. Killzone 2 came VERY close to their CG trailer, and Santa Monica is the team that maxed out the PS2 with God of War and God of War 2 (which still holds it's own against some current gen games!)
It would not surprise me in the least if this game ends up looking quite a bit better than even Killzone 2! After all, in the EGM KZ2 article, th guys at GG said they had been helped out a bit by the Santa Monica team on their tech
How the fvck is MS the winner? Their grand finale was a port! Sony's grand finale was the announcement of two new EXCLUSIVE games, God of War 3 and MAG.
MS showed off multiplat. games more than anything else.

I think that would be a good time actually. As of now, PS3 only has a handful of system-selling exclusives like Unacharted, Ratchet, and MGS4. But by the end of the year, they can add on LittleBigPlanet, Resistance 2, SOCOM, Motorstorm: Pacific Rift,mabye White Knight, plus almost all the big 3rd party games run just as good on PS3. then comes this price cut, followed by the soon releases of Killzone 2 and God of War 3, and Final Fantasy XIII sometime in the year, and people won't have muc...

as everyone says, Final Fantasy XIII obviously, and also, not so much a price drop nessisarily, but a slim model. the PSP didn't do good in Japan till the slim model came out and a couple huge franchises (FF and MH) came out on it. Now it's in the top of the charts. PS3 just needs to get a Slim model out near FFXIII's release.
as of now, I believe the only way to do a new Metal Gear without tarnishing the Grande Finalé would be to make a brand-new story, in a brand new "world" so to speak. Mabye have references to the old story of MG-MGS4, but only minor, nothing significant. The gameplay mechanics and stealth gameplay would carry over though. That's the only way I think a new Metal Gear should be done. The saga involving Solid Snake and co. is over and it ended to perfectly to mess any more with...
on the pessimistic side, it could just be an article about how the PS3 is the only one without a Tales game and they are asking "So why doesn't PS3 get a game? 360 and Wii have these ones"
I'm guessing that has to do with the MGS4 bundle being sold out. They said to expect more regular shipments in July I believe.

SSBB was a GREAT game, but got old a lot faster than Melee for some reason. And Patapon was great and it's only $20.
dang. Looks a LOT better than RFOM. It's like they've taken everything great about the first game; great weapons/gameplay, co-op, great atmosphear, huge online...and multiplied it by 10 then added 300 ft. boss battles.
ya, I agree. I was very worried about PS3's RGP situation a bit ago when MS had the RPG conference, but with the news that this is coming out this year (or at least early next year) along with Disgaea 3 and Valkyria Chronicles and then FFXIII probably early-mid next year, I'm happy. Plus we are eventually getting Last Remnant, Star Ocean 4, and probably Tales of Vesperia.
EFF ya! Level 5 is one of, if not the best, JRPG developers around. Can't wait!
