No, you're not really missing anything. The DS is highly over-rated, even though it is very good.
other than 1st party Nintendo stuff, there's Square's RPGs like FFIV, The World Ends with You, etc. and Castlevania. Plus I hear Pheonix Wright is good, but it's not my kind of game.
I have PSP, DS, Wii and PS3.
PSP and DS I like equally. I've found them to be just about on even ground as far as good games, with the DS being a marginal winner if I had to call it, but PSP has music player, which ties it back up with DS.
However, I like the PS3 a lot more than Wii. the DS, like the PS2, has that great mix of hardcore to casual (if not leaning a bit on the casual side), but the Wii...well, last year was great, this year and beyond not looking ...
hardcore gamers bought the Wii last year because of 2 reasons
1. it's cheap
2. it had quite a few good games last year (Fire Emblem, Metroid, Mario, Zelda before and Smash soon after)
but now, because of reason 1, most hardcore gamers that are going to buy a wii already have it and or sold it. They're selling the the casual's exclusivly now because all hardcore gamers bought it last year because of price and games.
IMO, it should have been really close between Gears 2, InFamous, and God of War 3. (Resistance 2 was really good too)
Gears 2 and Fable 2 were both playable. InFamous, Resistance 2, Killzone 2, LittleBigPlanet, Motorstorm 2, and Valkyria Chronicles were all playable.

I'm not gonna call them biased, because I agreed with a few of their other awards, but this one I completely disagree with. (I also find their lack of anything InFamous in any award disturbing)
I love how they showed a lot of PS3 games, then Fable 2 and Gears 2 for 360. they finish by saying "it was close, but looking at exclusives, the 360's lineup is much more solid"
and I'm also starting to think (after watching almost all of their award videos) that GT didn't even play InFamous. They didn't nominate it for a single award, while places like 1up and G4 have been praising InFamous and giving it awards (even best PS3 game in G4's case)
i've bought every Insomniac game since Spyro 1. I don't plan on stopping any time soon :)
I don't see why Wii only owners don't think we can have both graphics AND gameplay. A lot of Wii only owners (i used to be one) still hold Ocarina of Time as the greatest game of all time. That game had amazing gameplay, and the best graphics available at the time. the tech behind the game only enhanced the gameplay, it can never hold it back.

Sony published FF7. That's why nothing relating to FF7 has ever been on anything non-Sony, and that won't change if a remake happens. Sony owns joint rights with Sqaure for the game.
I'm actually more excited for this game than Resi5! The whole co-op thing in RE5 just seems like it would take all the scare out of it and the animations look exactly like RE4. It still looks good, but very uninspired.
Dead Space on the other hand looks much more unique and changes up things with the relevance of gravity. Plus it looks more scary than RE5.

I'm talking about known pro-MS gamers on forums such as NeoGAF saying the game isn't all that.
I don't have a 360, so I have yet to play the game myself (and my friends who do have 360s are too cheap to pay for LIVE), but judging from the vast majority of user responses, the game isn't that bad, and it's not good either.
However, you have to admit that if this was a PS3 exclusive, it would be getting burnt to a crisp by everyone.
My god if this isn't proof the media is biased. had this been a PS3 exclusive, the media and everyone else woud be completely ripping it to shreds in every possible way.
But, it's a 360 exclusive so regardless of MULTIPLE gamers saying it sucks all around the net, the media is defending it as if it's their own creation.
