Funny thing, with these fortune to..-analysts. They tell you what they think you want/need to hear.
Give the raw data and I'll draw my own conclusions.
It's interresting to say the least. We have to keep in mind that the buzz in some of these cases were negative toward the game after peaking. No Man Sky and and Fallout 4 had a high volume of buzz, but tapered out quicker than some of the better recieved games.
Dark Souls 3's lingering buzz is particularly impressive.
I want to play this in true 120 fps on the pro, but honestly I don't care what shape it releases in as long as it's in the near future for the PSVR.
This is basically "Who's got the largest marketing budget", right? So they nominate whoever they feel makes them the most money.. (I'm suggesting it's a best customer gratifying award)
If anything, Sony should have fact-checked Sean Murray and redacted when they found out about the short comings of the game. Not slide it all under the carpet and blame it on somebody else when they think it's blown over..
Presentation of women in skimpy outfits really ramped up with X-2. It was cringy then and it's cringy now in FFXV.
People bring up Tifa and Lulu, but better examples would be Yuffie and Rikku. But none of these were made as eye candy as blatantly as the girls in X-2 and Cindy in XV. Hey.. it's okay, as long as we all acknowledge it for what it is and embrace it - you know the japanese audience do.
Special consideration could be assessed for scoring of VR games in general, but I think it easy fall for one's own hype. And vice versa of course. People getting physically unwell by VR shouldn't be reviewing VR games.
Never a reason to preordered in this day and age unless it's a collectors edition.
I'm sensing a lot of shoe horsing ideas. Though I'm sure we'll see a Mexican "immigrant" lead in the posse.
Most likely not though, considering R*s lack of track record for making remasters*, the troubled development of RD2, and the complexity of the games and system architecture. Not saying it can't be both.. *(simultanious developed ports, sure)
It's definetly RD3 though. Right on schedule as well.
Experiencing moderate and persistent eyestrain even after a mere 15 minutes of PSVR. I feel I can't get the lenses close enough for my eyes, and it's never really in focus.
Not regretting holding on to my pre-order..! ;)
This is worse than the ones currently on 360 and one. Too fleshy and organic maybe? What I want my console to communicate is energy and subtle power.
So much fluff, but the main course fails to impress. I'm not pre-judging - I'm just waiting it out. How long since Inquisition, again?
I'm already luke warm to this game and regard it as a no buy at this point. This preview didn't change that fact much.
@goldby: Wouldn't that mess up the headtracking?
Cellshading can look incredibly good (Windwaker, Okami, Persona) and kinda cheap (Borderlands).
Personally I love it for bridging the uncanny Valley and achieving very good character styles.
Willingness not to censor - another reason to support day 1.
LOL NO. Nice try though I guess..?
Strike while the iron is hot. Be sure that the competition will as well, next year.
