I received the offer and have already ordered it. I’m in the camp of being incredibly gun shy due to Sony getting cold feet pretty quickly on peripherals. I just dont trust them to commit to this. That being said, before this offer there was zero chance I was going to go try it at a store, and now I’m going to try it at home with my wife and kids. Who knows, maybe THEY will want to keep it. I think it’s a smart move.
Why is choice a bad thing? What if I don't WANT social media? Should I have to pay for it just to subsidize people that do? Why do you think "cutting the cord" is becoming so popular? Because people are tired of paying outrageous fees for channels like ESPN or Disney that they NEVER watch.
FYI - Capitalism = FREE markets = Consumer choice
Who do you want in control of your wallet? You? or your government? Before you go ripping on Capitalism (BTW, the ONLY system that has been proven to work), How would you like ONE game company? Would that be good? One publisher? Instead of having a nanny state control things for you, how about actually voting with your wallet (which a lot of people love to scream, but can't seem to actually do).
I don't recall another console that had two GOTY contenders and a stream of quality titles in its first year.
Please go back to one of your circle jerk sales threads
Ugh. @Ayrtonsenna84 it was an error. Last I saw in August it was a little over 30 million. So yes, I was wrong. But I'm not "inflating" numbers. LMAO. You are exactly what is wrong with this site.
@showtimefolks
I agree. It's pretty telling when 9 out of 10 "hot" articles on this site are sales related and not game related. I own all three, and just don't understand why people WANT a console to fail. And I also don't understand when selling over 40 million of something is "failing". Just because they are in "2nd place" doesn't mean anything. People act as is if the gaming pie can't get any bigger, and it clearly is.
PS4 timed exclusives/DLC - "Sony really cares about their fan base, this is a win for the Sony."
Xbox timed exclusives/DLC - "Desperate"
A bit off topic. Are there any multiplayer games someone can play with “like-skilled” players? Or do they all just throw you in with the highly skilled ones? I’m a SP player first, and the occasions when I’ve jumped into any MP game, I’m inevitably picked off by a sniper almost immediately. This is why I avoid MP games. But do any have a “fair” matchmaking system so new players can actually stand a chance?
Are you kidding me? After reading comments in ANY article on this site, it’s obvious 80-90% of people who comment don’t read the article.
Spoiler?
It's amazing how it would appear almost every comment is just a knee-jerk reply to the headline. It's almost as bad as the "EA removes micro transactions" headline. Which STILL hasn't added the word "temporarily".
Again, this is a very small step in the right direction. However, just like the "EA removes micro transactions" story, it's not all it appears. You have a commission that "wants" this to happen. It's far from actually being implemented by the government. You can bet that the game companies are going to throw tons of cash at this to make sure it doesn't.
Honestly, this headline STILL hasn’t been fixed??
I’m sure the lobbiests will make this disappear. If I’m reading this correctly, the Gaming Commission “wants” it, but actually passing a law is a whole different story.

Serious question. Does Famitsu ever give negative reviews? Have there been any recently? Lowest I've ever seen is a "6", and that's rare. I mean has anything ever gotten like a 2?
Yeah, this is exactly where the list was discredited for me. LOL
They said the will be added back when they “figure it out” (I’m paraphrasing). I’m waiting until they are back, and then I will see how bad they still are.
Hasn’t one of the main issues with this “future tech” been the 7 year old peripherals needed to make it work? It seems like the Move controllers and 180 movement are the two biggest negatives I see in reviews.
