The problem with allowing refunds is a LOT of people will use it as a rental service. On the other hand, getting bit by a crappy game sucks also. To me, a compromise might be requiring all games to either offer a demo, or a refund. If you are able to get a good feel for the game before you purchase, than I think returning it doesn't make sense. However if there's no way to try it (for free), then you should be able to get a refund.
By far it's biggest problem is, it's difficult to sell unless you can get consumers to try it. Sony had that limited program where they sent out units that you could try for 30 days. If you wanted to keep it, they charged your card. If you wanted to send it back, there was prepaid labels in the box. I took part in this program, and never would have tried it otherwise. The only issue was, they sent out gen 1 units (with the HDR problem) well after gen 2 was out. It's just too diffi...
A vag***
Crying. LOL. i was literally going to post the exact same thing.
I assumed @Spurg meant day-one new games.
Except that it's already "striving".
I may be wrong, but didn't this guy say it was the biggest mistake of his life and that he regrets it? I'm not really sure I would want him there if that's the case, would you??
I'm actually curious about which "Alt-Right" organization or person has tried to censor content in games? Don't get me wrong, the alt-right are pieces of sh*t. But the term is also now being used to encompass ANYBODY that doesn't go left. So who has called for censorship? Serious question. I just find it odd that neo-nazi's and white supremacists are concerned about violence in video games.
Including a 2TB SSD would just be foolish. That is way too much of a cost to add for something that isn't necessary for a launch console. First, there won't be enough games at launch to necessitate something that large. Second, gamers have never been afraid to shell out $$ for extra storage, because mentally it doesn't feel like you're spending money on the console itself. Sony is smart enough to take that cost, and put it into other areas of the console that consumers can'...
It's actually more of an oligopoly than a true monopoly.
The problem though is if one way or another, FIFA users WILL pay. It may not be today, but their not just going to throw up their hands and say "Belgium is cool, but everyone else has to pay". Either they will charge more for games there, or they will flat out stop selling them.
1) People hate "evil" corporations even though they power our economy.
2) People like to root for "their" console at the detriment of all others. Even if eliminating them would make their
console worse due to no competition.
It also provides a lifeline for under performing titles (Just Cause 4, Shadow of the Tom Raider). I wouldn't be surprised if that saves a studio from closing if it hasn't already.
I would imagine there are NDA's in place to prevent them disclosing that. It has to be different for every game. It has to be very similar to a movie being on Netflix. Pay some $$ and get the game for a specified amount of time.
Sony Story - No big deal
Microsoft Story - Corporate Greed, Anti-Consumer, Slippery Slope
ahhhh. this is good news.
Best comment of the day. LOL
You should know by now it's one giant PS4 circle - jerk at this site. Lol. Is what it is.
