@rainslacker: Thanks for the comment. That was very informative. I was wondering something and you might be able to answer. The article says the video files take up a lot of space but I've heard if the videos are rendered in-engine then the files aren't large at all. Is this true? Is it just up to the developers? Is one method more work or harder to do?
@Cupid Viper: That was so well said that you deserve a hug or something. I feel the same. This has been building step by step and people have watched as it grows little by little. It will only get worse and some people will keep cheering for it.
That would definitely be cool and would add another dimension to the game as well as giving an inFamous shout.

I remember a topic like this last gen and supposedly procedurally generated textures were the answer to cut down on large file sizes. Is that still a thing or was it never realized? Was it a bunch of nonsense? Any input would be appreciated.

YES! A Socom II remake would be awesome. That game was amazing and the best in the series in my opinion.
Same thing happened last gen with the PS3. It will happen again next gen we just don't know who the articles will be about yet. Take it in stride and enjoy the show ☺️
People like negativity. Look at the news each night. I remember article after article about how the PS3 was doomed. Obviously it wasn't but for a while there was a constant stream of articles about why it was. The same will continue next gen as well. We just have to see who headlines.
I'm a physical therapist and have treated multiple people for Wii injuries. I've heard of it being used therapeutically but in my experience it has had the opposite effect. I always laughed a little inside when someone told me they hurt themselves playing a Wii.

I too love this series. SC, Pandora Tomorrow, and Chaos Theory were all fantastic. Double Agent and Conviction were bad but Blacklist was a lot of fun and started the series back in the right direction. Ironside is definitely missed.
@DiRtY: Significance is subjective. The Pro is clearly an upgrade. Not as big of a difference as the Scorpio-XBone but what's on screen is noticeably enhanced thus it is significant. What you are arguing is just your bias.
I wish people would stop jumping through whatever hoops companies present for "extra content". I hate season passes and never buy them even more than preorder bonuses. If I pay for the game I should get the game in its entirety. Don't try to syphon more money from me. Especially when all I'm paying for is an unlock code for what's already there. People need to stop supporting these practices.
@BrettAwesome: You are completely off. While I won't go as far as to say America is the best, the majority of what you said is untrue. The country has serious issues just like all countries do but there is a reason people are trying so hard to come here.
I agree. I'm glad it's quiet. That should add to gamers enjoyment as well as help future consoles. My PS4 is generally pretty quiet but there are times when the fans really get going and it can be a bit loud.
