I hope this game does for the 360 what the Uncharted series has done for the PS3. I always appreciate games that put effort into the plot and story telling.
I don't know if this game is being published by Microsoft but even if it wasn't I'm sure it won't ever come to PS3. I honestly believe that the demographic for this genre is much stronger on the PS3 side but that's just another excuse for me wanting the game on my PS3 :D
Even though I dislike Socom, I don't think I'm taking too large a leap when I say it trumps any "community" the Xbox 360 has to offer with any specific title.
The PS3 "community" is no different than the Xbox 360's "community". All a community consists of is a half-decent forum.

I understand the author's angle on the matter but this article could have been written much better. It is very general and doesn't analyze events between the two systems deeply enough.

As much as I love playing Halo 3 online with friends, it's pretty obvious PSN is pretty close to Xbox Live as it is, especially with the recent Netflix news and more-or-less confirmation of Cross-Game Chat coming in the next firmware update.

I only disagree with you because you think the second Resistance title is "Resistance: Fall of Man 2".
Resistance: United We Fall would have been an epic title. Maybe R3 will be names similarly.

If that's what you want to call barely mediocre visuals then go ahead. Nothing is going to convince me that R2's visuals were 'good' after seeing the debacle that are the swamp levels in the game, let alone almost everything in the game lacking any remotely detailed textures.
I am absolutely thrilled that Insomniac understands that Resistance 2 was a huge step in the wrong direction.
This gives me hope that Resistance 3 will at least be as good as Resistance: Fall of Man. Weapon-sphere, old health bar system and health 'packs' are a must.
Continually comparing themselves to a game that hasn't even come out yet.

Anyway that's cool that they give you something for getting the Platinum in the previous title. I'm definitely glad I took the time to do so.
This is something I would have thought more developers would have continued doing since Resistance: Fall of Man.
I loved getting that Spec Op skin for online multiplayer by beating the game on its hardest difficulty.
