The demo alone has been more fun and interesting than the entirety of GTA IV's campaign in my opinion.
While the impressions/reviews of inFamous definitely talk about some of the pop-in you mentioned, that is an extremely miniscule issue when compared to every other aspect of the game.
I think you meant 'snicker'.
'Snigger' sounds like a racial slur.
You should definitely work for Microsoft's Xbox Marketing division.
Being a fan of the PS3 this is definitely a positive sliver of information, but some of you guys need to just stop with the instant 360 bashing. It makes you look no better than the LARGER number of Xbox 360 loyalists.
Being a fan of or owning only a PS3 used to bring instant bashing because being a fan of or owning only an Xbox 360 was the most popular thing (and still is today in North America). Let's just check ourselves and enjoy our games shall we?
The only communication feature you're missing on the PS3 is cross game chat which is more than likely coming before the end of the year. It's grayed out when you try to make a Text Chat room.
Other than that prediction, what is preventing you from communicating with friends on PSN?
Guys and gals, I don't understand why anyone would encourage a paid subscription of any kind. Just because Xbox Live forces a fee on gamers to play online doesn't mean that it's right. Not only that, but more gamers are going to begin thinking that just because there is a price tag attached to online play that it's automatically a better service.
A paid subscription is only set into motion because the company knows there are enough people who are willing to put money forth. Un...
I guess these same critics/morons haven't heard of the Motorstorm games yet.
Stupid.
Now you've gotten rid of any competition in the market which will essentially create a weird form of a monopoly in the video game industry, causing Microsony/Sonysoft to give less of crap about what we want as gamers.
It would also mean more hidden costs like Xbox Live because there isn't any alternative except for Nintendo who really hasn't done anything to support the 'hardcore' demographic.
Makes you wonder what the United States, or any nation for that matter, would be like if the death penalty (you kill someone, you are killed in turn) had been established in every state 50 years ago. Would there be as much crime?
Definitely some information that wasn't exactly listed out by other previews. Good.
Cannot wait for M.A.G. I think it's going to be spectacular.
720p version of GTA IV?
Gabe Newell and Greenberg FTW
Wait... there were batteries on the actual Gold/Silver cartridges? So if I turned on Gold in my fancy-smancey purple see-through GameBoy Color it wouldn't work?
Shenanigans!
Gold/Silver is my favorite Pokemon game hands down.
Feraligatr FTW!
Yeah it's a shame that Sony had a botched launch with the Playstation 3. I mean, the Xbox 360 was out a year earlier and had Achievements since day one. Why couldn't Sony just see the appeal they held for gamers and add them within the first year?
Oh well. At least now Sony is kind of picking up the pace a bit. Cross Game Chat will be on the next FW update.
I usually don't like to jump straight to calling someone a fanboy of any kind but... this guy is a complete Xbox 360 fanboy/tool.
The whole point of his article was to express his personal distaste with the Trophy system on the Playstation 3. By the end of the article, all he really did was prove to the audience that they're essentially the same thing. As if to back up his claim, he pulls ridiculous comparisons such as navigating on each console. He makes it sound like three ...
"...but it also needs to incorporate it with an enjoyable, story-driven exclusive franchise to rival the mind-blowing Microsoft heavyweights Gears of War and Halo franchises."
So Halo 3 is a heavyweight for it's execution of story? Don't make me chuckle.
Oh, Sony's Metal Gear Solid franchise stopped in to say hello.
**EDIT**
By the way, Gears of War, Halo: Combat Evolved, and Halo 2 are multiplatform. Congratulations on the fail.
Too Human == Haze
Take that as you will.
Avatars we should have had by now: LBP, MGS4, Killzone 2, Call of Duty 4/World at War, Warhawk(?), God of War, more Socom ones.
The point is that it's been neglected.
The thing that both fans and critics seem to not take into consideration is that this is a brand new IP and it's definitely already a triple 'A' title to PS3 owners. It already looks like reviews will be giving that a solid 'technical' backing.
Not only is the game not only fantastic, the mere thought of a sequel or similar game that WILL IMPROVE UPON THE SMALL ISSUES has me excited. Just look at Uncharted: Drake's Fortune. For most PS3 owners, it's an instant classic. While ...
