Battlefield's roots are from the PC, plus in has all the tech DICE needed to do justice with a sequel to Battlefield 2.
Also, strong communities on consoles usually favor shooters like Halo and Modern Warfare, and their arcade gameplay. Converting them to BF3 won't be an easy task, if at all, achievable.
The whiners are PC fanboys.
The console gamers understand that they will never get the same quality as the PC due to the lower/older hardware specs of their console, and are satisfied with what they get.
But for some strange reason, the PC fanboys take issue on the'inferior' console version of the game, even though they will be playing it exclusively on their beloved PCs.
Weird, huh? Indeed, they are.

No kidding the PC is the better version. Afterall, it has more than 8 x the Ram, newer CPUs, GPUs, MBs etc.
But remember that a Ps3 costs less than a decent Graphics card ... let alone an entire gaming rig.
The Console version is still good enough, even with the pitiful 12 vs 12.

It's OBVIOUSLY way better than BC2.
I can only dream of all the vehicles and destruction KZ3 multiplayer could have had with the Frostbite 2 engine.
.... or imagine what DICE could have done with KZ3.

But at the end of the day, would have preferred to have MW2/BC2 level of graphics so that we console gamers could enjoy 64 players online like the PC.

This is why console gaming is better than PC:
* you have the same SKU for 10 years
* SKU usually gets cheaper and cheaper ove the 10 years
* easy and simple plug & play
Not so with PCs.
But in retrospect, I still would have preferred Sony to have released the Ps3 at the same time as the xbox 360, but with 2 Gbs of RAM and NO BLURAY. At the same price, this would have destroyed the 360.

The core Warhawk gameplay is very much like Battlefield 2, and 24 player games are simply not as fun as 32 .... let alone 64.
DICE really should have dumbed down the graphics(make like MW2) and the destruction so we could have the 64 players and maps of the PC.
Big mistake DICE.
Thunder Run sealed the deal.
It pretty well sums up what Battlefield is all about, and easily pawns the MW3 gameplay shown at the xbox conference.
Remove the Map
Battlefield 3 .... all shooters per se .... should remove the live map tuck in the corner.
It will make the combat even more exciting as you have no idea where your opponents are.
All the CoD fanboyz would have noob killstreak stats if there was no live map showing their foes.
No problem.
Commonsense would only draw a conclusion that the console version will be BETTER than Bad Company 2.
....especially when they are using an much improved Frostbite 2 engine.

I want to play the good guy(cops) working out ways to take down those low lifes in the bank with little or no hostages killed.
Okay, no more urban warefare.
Battlefield is large maps and vehicle combat.
MP footage of jets, tanks and copters wanted not urban warfare.
Unfortunately the bulk of the console shooter fans will be loyal to Modern Warfare 2/3
But DICE could change this by not gimping the maps, having plenty of fun modes, and similar perks of Cod etc.
The console version should have had 64 player MP with reduced destruction/graphics quality.
I don't want any costly DLC just so you can practice using the vehicles, playing bots on the various maps.
Multiplayer Vehicle/Map practice should come with the disk .... bots a bonus.
No explanation needed.
The consoles simply aren't as powerful as the PC ... lead platform.
PC fanboys are behaving like numnuts, again.
The console gamers are happy with what they get as they don't have expensive PC gaming rigs.
