Welll, to be honest you need good hardware that is powerful and easy to develop, as well as talented teams. It's a combination of both.
I respectfully disagree, the Resistance trilogy was master class in fun gameplay in SP/MP and in story telling. Specially, Resistance 3...what an underrated gem!
I hope they dont release villains as DLCs. To be honest this game has enough villains as it's. I hope they save some for the sequel :)
Resistance 3 was such an underrated game. One of the best fps on ps3.
So far next gen versions havent been confirmed yet.
@Srhalo It's obviously related. Personally, I am not expecting all of those 5 studios to launch their games on Xbox One. Some of them must be working on next-gen games. However, this is a mere assumption from me.
Acquisition of 5 studios. Confirmation of next gen console. I think there is enough reason here that Microsoft may be targeting to launch the next Xbox before the PS5 hits.
The article is about PS4 image quality. In that sense, this statement is nothing but the truth.
It's fine for reference but the latest one wasn't called 4 so there is probably a specific reason why they arent giving it a number this time around.
Unlikely, the game was a soft reboot so I think it will be called 2 or a whole together different sub title.
Indeed, from a pure hardware perspective and that too at a lower price point, Xbox One X is a steal. It's great to see so many games hitting native 4K on the console.
I think it also comes down to the CPUs of the PS4 and Xbox One, as most of the design choices are based on the CPU (like AI design, the logic on how levels interact, world behavior etc). For example, the Cell processor was still better than PS4's Jaguar CPU in some aspects which allowed developers to do more with game design during the PS3 era.
To put it simply, the CPU has not kept up with GPU's pace (on the console side) resulting into very few games that really p...
Indeed. In fact, they evnen had 60fps enabled on Gears of War 4 on Xbox One X, and that game is pushing the hardware to its limits. Furthermore, they are targeting 4K and 60fps for Gears 5 which is amazing if they manage to pull it off. So ye, Microsoft definitely seems to be pushing for higher frame rates.
4K is definitely happening across all next-gen platforms. I just hope they at least make higher frame rates a priority as well.
I doubt "every" game will be 4K/60fps. Although, I do expect that most games will hit that standard. I may be completely wrong though as most developers will aim for higher visuals so that may hit peformance and we are back to 30fps.
With the way digital adoption is increasing, discless consoles will happen one day. I am not saying it will happen in the next 5 years or so but next to next gen we may see a major if not a complete shift.
Indeed. Those 5 studios acquisition seem like a step towards next-gen Xbox. I think that the Xbox One will close off with Gears and those 5 studios will show off their games for the next Xbox.
What? What is non-sense about this? Sony is indeed the leading the charge. Their history speaks for itself.
It will be interesting to see what other gameplay scenarios the game will have. After all, we only saw one side mission at E3.
My only concern at this point is whether the other enemies will remain just idle or will they attack the player all together. I really hope it's the latter, since it adds more realism and makes the game more challenging.
Completely misleading.
