There's two paragraphs referring to supply issues for the ps3 and psp which draws on the context of the rest of the article... seems relevant to me.
It's not Square-Enix's fault that Sony isn't a market leader anymore. Blu-ray (as much as I love it, I am a HUGE movie buff) essentially killed the playstation. The ps3 launched a year later and $200 more expensive because of Blu-ray. Does anybody honestly believe that MS would be leading Sony right now if the ps3 launched at the same time and same price as the 360 except with a DVD drive instead of a Blu-ray drive? Another factor is that for a long time the PS3 was the cheapest and the best blu-ray player out there. Some ps3 owners bought the ps3 as a blu-ray player first and games machine second. A smaller number have even bought the ps3 as a blu-ray player only and have no intention of ever playing games on any console so overall, I think the install base for ps3 as a games platform is inflated a bit because of this which would also explain the sales discrepancy.
For the record, NOTHING is free. It costs money to run an online service and since Sony doesn't charge directly for it, you are paying indirectly. Maybe the PS3 is STILL $400 because Sony needed the money to run PSN for 'free'. Maybe some exclusives have been cancelled because Sony needed the money to run PSN for 'free'. Well, I bought a ps3 the day it hit $400 because they were $200 cheaper than the cheapest profile 1.0 Blu-ray players that were available at the time. I use it exclusively as a Blu-ray player and have not bought a single game (I like rpg's and the ps3 brutally sucks in this area unfortunately).
The 360 can't do anything to stop Sony's momentum towards marketshare obscurity.

This is clearly an early level character using one of the weakest, least accurate weapons in the game taking on a Caravan NPC, a fairly strong opponent. If anyone can't understand why it takes forever for a low level character with a weak weapon a long time to take out a relatively strong character... well let's just say you should go back to your instant gratification mindless shooter and leave all that hard math stuff to the adult gamers.
I just created a game for pc... you hit the spacebar every time a dot appears on the screen to kill it (1 dot per second). you unlock the achievement/trophy after you kill 47 billions dots with the spacebar. It takes approx. 13,000 hours to finish the game.
Who the heck keeps approving blogs? I've seen so many of these on this site (pro 360 AND pro ps3). Doesn't anybody realize that 99.999999999999999% of the time these blogs are meaningless, fanboy drivel?! Must we really continue to endure these waste of time OPINIONS? Amen Capital G! It's one thing for a game to ship with some bugs but still be playable but LBP has been pretty much unplayable.
Bugs = fact of life for gaming these days.
unplayable = unforgivable.
It's a shame, this game seems to play great but these problems have really soured me on it since I have a major issue with publishers pushing unforgivably buggy code out the door and patching it to what it should have been day one later on. This game should have been delayed ...
I kinda thought the same thing. Don't get me wrong, Sackboy is cute, possibly iconic and LBP is a highly anticipated title but Mario has been around since the donkey kong days (that's decades) and has probably had over a hundred titles across the Atari, NES, SNES, N64, Gamecube, Wii, Gameboy, Gameboy Advance and DS. No comparison to Mario exists on any console or handheld, Mario is easily the biggest icon of gaming.
Dareaver1 is completely correct. Id is scaling back the 360 version to make it fit on 2 DVDs not because it is any trouble running the engine. They are refusing to author a third DVD. For the record, the rage engine was scaled back due to the PS3's memory limitations. (360 and PS3 have 512mb but more memory is used for the PS3's OS)

Read my comment again. If you are given the option of running cable for the cost of 10 bucks versus wireless for the cost of $100 and you choose wireless then yes, you are stupid.
Many things can drop or interfere with a wireless broadband connection such as wireless phones, bluetooth and other wireless networks to mention a few. They all share the same bandwidth and compete for it. The more devices there are locally, the slower it gets and the more likely a disconnect is go...
