In a month's time they've lost their prized devs. Bungie, Bioware and Bizarre. There's no indication they'll be able to surmount the Sony software juggernaut in 2008 or even Wii which overtook them in a matter of months.
Of course they didn't want to lose, but they did, and no amount of money will save them, they're doing worse than OG Xbox. Shareholders are PISSED. Goodbye Xbox, and good riddance.
Because if I recall, MGS4 was announced as an exclusive ON STAGE, by Sony execs, by Kojima, by Konami even. Special deals were given to them to ensure it (phone, movie). It's over, that game's not going anywhere.
And FFXIII went from "On PS3" to "On PS3 Only" at the latest TGS. That's it. It couldn't be clearer.
You can deny that they can't be done on 360 all you want (won't make any cash even if they could), but the exclusivity agreements are...
But the sequels will have to do. Bioware can't tell a good story to save their lives, but at least they have a chance to improve with ME2 & 3, both storywise and techwise on PS3.
399 PS3 comes out right after, and then Spiderman 3 and POTC will outsell the entire HD-DVD library in one fell swoop.
You're telling me when MGS4 comes out in Spring 08 exclusively for PS3 I'll be able to get Mass Effect on PC too!

I even agree with Xbots! It won't sell on 360 (only really sells in Japan), but it's still a few extra sales and won't at all affect the game's quality, unlike say...a last gen console like Wii.

PS3's value has forever been higher than 360's, it was obvious, and hard to learn I suppose, that value doesn't sell consoles. Great games and/or affordability sells consoles.
