Transformers couldn't even get ON PAR with Blu-ray, and it was one of the biggest films HD-DVD will ever have. Not even Michael Bay likes HD-DVD. Speilberg hates it too, his titles are for BR despite the "exclusive" (temporarily) deals.
How can Shrek 3 even HOPE to compete with the likes of Pixar and Pirates when it barely edged out Transformers (by 2million) domestica...
AC was originally a 360 exclusive, announced at X05 BEFORE E306 for PS3, when it was still running on 360.
So 360 lost that exclusive quite nicely.
And of course, this is IGN, so IGN readers do not represent the majority who are seeing AC + PS3 ads all day long. However given the install base difference, this is significant.
There may be thousands of desperate HD-DVDead owners, but there's millions of BR owners doshing out more cash RIGHT NOW!
