I didn't realise how handy the old 360 guide was until this weekend when I went back to Gears. It's so quick to send messages/set up party chat compared to on the xbox one, it would be great if MS could implement a similar system soon.
On the other hand using apps was nightmarishly slow on the 360 compared to the one. Best of both would be nice!
I wish more online-only games were priced like this. Looking at you Titanfall...
The original Gears mad world trailer was beautifully done and really set the tone for the 360 at the time.
It's already been mentioned but the dead island trailer was awesome too, although unfortunately nothing like the final game.
I agree with you on the graphics, it just looks a little rough around the edges and lacking that next gen sparkle. It plays great though! Spent a couple of hours with it today and can see myself getting hooked already.
Ryse: Knights of Britannia sounds awesome!
I seriously hope so considering I just bought one! Titanfall and MGS will keep me happy, and then there's Halo, Destiny and the Witcher to look forward to later on in the year.
No doubt many more titles will be announced as the months go by and E3 should be amazing this year.
I wouldn't be surprised if we see this since it was added to Windows 8 in the 8.1 update. You could just use the analog stick to adjust the slider and then carry on with your game/movie/whatever.
Awesome! Can't wait, I deliberately held off gettinng Borderlands 2 until the inevitable GotY edition but can't say no to this.
And a new Conker! We've already got a new Killer Instinct on Xbox One, come on MS make this happen!!
Not really a problem, it sounds like it will only be a few month away at most. It'll be interesting to see what other features and services are added to both consoles over the course of their lifespan too.
The main difference is that the Xbox One has showcased some fantastic looking games for the near future as well as showing off its multimedia capabilities (all of which are designed to complement each other).
When the PS3 was released there wasn't much in the way of great games, at least for a while, so many people (such as myself) had a shiny new blu-ray player that wasn't getting used for much else.
Can't wait to play this in co-op, those new weapons and vehicles look awesome!
To anyone saying "I've seen worse in movies" that's most likely true but the key difference is that the GTA torture scene was interactive, the player literally made the decisions themselves.
I personally didn't find it very offensive but I was quite surprised it was part of the game. Lots of parents still don't understand the mature nature of GTA games and buy it for their kids anyway which means that unfortunately more people will encounter the tor...
I second that! Horizon was fantastic, the most fun I've had in a racing game in years.
Can't wait to play this!
That's what MS did with Dead Rising 2, I've been playing it all week and can't wait to pick up DR 3 at launch. I loved Forza 3 (and Horizon, can't wait to see a next gen sequel!) but never got round to picking up 4 although from what I hear it's a fantastic game. Just seems like a bit of a missed opportunity really, especially when Forza 5 builds on many of the features from 4 (Autovista mode, Top Gear integration and so on).
Double post, sorry guys
I was so disappointed to see this earlier today, why not give us Forza 4, hell even Forza 3! That would allow more people to experience the series before Forza 5 launches in November.
I like twisted pixel but I still don't quite 'get' this game, the combat looks interesting though. And what's with the graphics?? This isn't a stylised game (like say, 'splosion man was), the graphics are just really poor.
Small world! I live near Uxbridge and noticed this deal today.
Have to admit, although it's not the best deal on the planet it does make the Xbox one a lot cheaper if you already have a 360/ps3 sitting under your TV and I'd be very tempted to go for it if I hadn't already picked one up at launch.
