We were just discussing a little about chain Mediaworld that is used to break official release date here in Italy also ruining sone midnight launch, for example PS3 launch.
As far as I know most of the time here in Italy there are violations of the official release date is their fault or they are heavily involved.

Se non ricordo male -anzi, ne sono piuttosto certo- fu' proprio a causa loro che che la PS3 stessa fu disponibile dal 21 marzo invece che dal 23, facendo saltare moltissimi eventi del "lancio a mezzanotte" previsti per il 22 ( e io, francamente, mi incazzai parecchio perche' salto' una bella festa tipo "birra e salsicce" organizzata tra tanti amici clienti del negozi...

I am very much surprised! I mean that I'm happy with that date, but it' s really for me something new.
I' m used to buy the games I' m interested in the day-one, I can' t remember a single game that came out on Wednesday instead of Friday for any system ... and I usually buy a lot of games every year.
Well, this time I can' t complain lol

No, it is not a distibution issue. It is that it' s normal for games to be released on Friday in UE. People never go in a shop asking for new games if it is not yet Friday because already know they won' t find new games.
No surprise at all, I expected this, I do not even know a game that was released before Friday, ever.
I think he should try knocking at Sony's door, I don' t think SEGA will ever do a new Shenmue due to costs and risks. Sony likes risk more than other.

@ VandimionX: I understand what you say very well, I know that America means also good things ( but from what I know both the telephone and the computer were not invented in USA ), but the real problem is that a lot ( not all, of course ) of american people don ' t understand why America is so much hated.

I' m not a developer, but from what I understand nothing of this ( cool ) list is really hard to do.
Expecially if you think that are going to sell a good number of copies ( I would buy it too! ).
About Special in-game stuff I' m sure that Kojima has easily something up his sleeve.
To be honest I really don' t understand Konami ... earnings would be guaranteed, and up everything fans would be happy to pay!
I would really like a new IP, a RPG would be fine for me.
I really need more RPG this generation.
