If Oculus can do what it's doing with the Quest at $400 then Sony should be able to put actual graphics tech into the new headset so you can play it on the go too. They also work at much smaller margins so they could make it even cheaper from the get-go.
For PS5 play, all they would need to do is allow a place to plug in a cord, and bam, you now have full PS5 capabilities. It would be good because they could make a lot of games cross-buy: basic settings on the go, full experienc...

What will get me to buy a PS5:

Just release the darn thing!

Naughty Dog made four games this generation, so not sure why you're complaining about their output. They're one of the best in the business at quality and output every generation.

I beat it a while back as well but my buddy and I are looking for a great co-op game to play. He just bought it last night and we'll start it up this weekend. Can't wait!

Just beat it last night! Wow what an incredible game. The minor issues with framerate aside, this is one of the best story/gameplay experiences I've had in a very long time. Can't for the eventual sequel on PS5!

Honestly, I loved RE5! Not sure why journalists tag on it so much. The co-op in it was awesome at the time that I played a lot of co-op with friends. It's even one of my eleven Plats. It's definitely no RE4, but it's miles better than RE6!

The smartest thing MS could do is partner up with Valve or Oculus or some other VR company and just bring over the games from their platform. It would create another VR market and MS wouldn't really have to invest a ton into it. Doubt it'll happen, but it could be smart for MS to do so. Not much for them to lose really

Competition is literally better for all consumers. I'm glad MS is pulling out all the stops this generation

Been a while since I've seen an article from gamingbolt, good to see they're still ticking /s

It means the game is probably going to be awesome. From big budget to indie, it's been a long time since I've played a metroidvania game that was bad

I just bought a midrange 1TB NVME drive for my laptop and it cost $100. These are looking like they'll have specs more in line to Samsung EVO drives that run around $220 retail for 1TB. Maybe Sony and MS will have competitive partnerships to get these prices lower for the external cards, but don't count on it.

My bet is Sony will follow this same route with PS5. If they're going to work to get the best optimization with the new NVME drives, then they're going to have to go proprietary, unfortunately. I do like the fact that MS is allowing storage of XSX games on other drives, so swapping games to the NVME to play is still relatively fast.

It may have just been the hype music, but this looks pretty cool

This demo is a callback to the original FF VII demo, which is why I love it. I played that original demo probably fifty times before playing the game back in the day. This demo is exactly what it should've been

I try to watch AC: Complete at least once a year. It's so good. Much much better than the choppiness of the original version.

PSA:

Definitely get the C9 OLED or newer if you go LG. Don't do C8 or older. LG does a bad job at updating its year-old TVs, even the high end ones, which I've come to find out the hard way. Even when every other brand is updating their cheapo TVs with the latest software upgrades, LG will not. They are, however, amazing TVs out of the box, and the C9 or newer will have the proper features compatible with next-gen consoles.

IMO they need to do LOT more in regards to rewards with trophies. They came out with this elaborate thing they were going to do when they announced it, what 10 years ago, and absolutely nothing came of it. Since then, there's been virtually no reason to even earn trophies other than bragging rights with your friends, who mostly don't even care anymore nowadays. They really to up the stakes when the new gen starts

I truly think that if they can figure out the gameplay issues then this game can be a hit. The story is very intriguing and the co-op has a lot of promise, but the bullet sponge mayhem and bad gameplay design have crippled the game. They figure that out and they're set to take on year two very well imho.

And the overhaul of all overhauls was FF XIV too. Different genres, but about the same colossal disaster. It can be done! They just need to truly understand the stupid mistakes they made during the original development and fix them. I was super excited for this game before it launched because the story was very intriguing. Hope it gets fixed!

PS1 games were actually only $40, which made the N64 game prices even worse. PS2 was when they raised it to $50. Then $60 for PS3. Then DLC came...ugh...

Anyways, back on point! I had a massive collection of games at age 12 and my N64 owning friend had hardly any games. Poor kid. Even renting the N64 games were way more expensive! So back to your main point, all in all, PlayStation won because of how inexpensive and how expansive CD-ROM was.
