Okay?
Here's hoping for Independence FM.
There's actually quite a few modders in this industry that have been picked up or started their own studios. The most recent one to my knowledge was that nineteen year old who created Falskaar for Skyrim. He's now employed at Bungie.

Actually, The Escapist started it as a joke toward elitist egotism which was later embraced by PC gamers as a running joke to piss off console fanboys.
It's already happening on consoles so I highly doubt that.

Actually the game was meant to come out for PS2 and Xbox originally, but Rockstar held off and revamped the game several times throughout it's development. The reason they haven't ported it to PC is because they'd have to rework the entire code as it was never developed with PC architecture in mind. That's a strenuous effort to tackle, it also didn't help that Rockstar had laid off most of their San Diego studio after the game...
So less players on PC are playing a notoriously broken game? Not sure how this is a bad thing, it actually reflects well on PC gamers. COD's been the same broken heap since forever and it's not even in the top forty on Steam's online chart as a result. Says a lot by comparison.
Oh I see, you're misinformed, generalizing and gullible. Yeah that whole "PC MASTER RACE" tweet was a tongue-in-cheek joke on their part, which was clear to anyone with half a brain. They attacked LoL and WoW before attacking PSN and Live, so no need to generalize an entire userbase for what some script kiddie with a twitter account said just to get a rise.
How's that? Please elaborate.
They attacked Blizzard and Riot earlier so clearly they're trolling with that tweet, sadly the author of this article was too oblivious to see it. Typical quality journalism.
How can you speak for most people who otherwise wouldn't know? It's a gaming PC in a compact form with a Linux OS, they are not consoles. SteamOS runs like any other desktop OS, that's why it's also available for built PCs. There is no "environment" that it's designed for. You can use a Steam Machine just like you would a gaming PC, or sit back with a controller with Big Picture Mode. Both of these things you can already do with Windows installed on a built PC. T...
You can install Windows to a Steam Machine, these aren't proprietary closed hardware devices like consoles. They're compact gaming PCs.
What are you talking about? Consoles are still missing entire genres compared to PC.
Besides the hundreds already exclusive to PC if not thousands should we include the last decade.

So digital is retarded because you can't hold onto something physical to show your kids? Pretty stupid argument since digital is far more accessible with backwards compatibility than physical will ever be so your kids would always have access to older games not limited by the antique hardware needed to run them. On consoles, yes they would be useless but not on PC. Consoles aren't long term and never will be, that's simply the limit of their nature. Even i...
I never said one was acceptable because the other was worse.
No, what's killing this industry is retailers like Gamestop that take full sale profit from pre-owned copies of console games. That's worse than pirating because all the profit from those sales goes toward Gamestop and developer's don't see a cent from it. This nonsense created that whole online pass debacle just because gamers wanted to save a few bucks even if it meant harming developers. Also, consoles have their fair share of pirates as well. When GTA V leaked for both it ...
Red Dead Redemption was a special case. Originally the game was meant to come out for PS2 and Xbox, but Rockstar held off and revamped the game several times throughout it's development. The reason they haven't ported it to PC is because they'd have to rework the entire code as it was never developed with PC architecture in mind. To be fair, the the Metro series has been notorious for it's optimization. This is from a fair chunk of developers who made the S.T.A.L.K.E.R series which was also notorious for it's optimization problems, they're based in Ukraine where working conditions are less than satisfactory, frequent power outages, government snooping, freezing temperatures, no heating et cetera has followed with both games development. Metro Last: Light for the same reaso...
