this movie looks like it's going to be an epic fail...i really can't take it seriously when there is a white actor playing goku (and yes, i myself am white). sometimes the main reason several movies end up sucking is due largely to the casting of the characters...this is one MAJOR example of that...
completely agree with all of your points....for sony fanboys, it seem very important for them to hype every new game coming out for their system, yet they forget about those games a few months later and so does sony...nice "future-proof" system. sony seems content releasing sequel after sequel instead of building their games up for extended playability and replay value...

what is this guy talking about? guitar hero 3 was one of the best guitar hero games to date....there were maybe 2 or 3 songs that i didn't really care for on GH3, but the rest were absolute great songs...i have GH2, GH3, GH:WT, and RB2...out of all of them GH3 wins hands down for quality of overall song selection

this game had so much hype that i bought it for the 360 when it came out on the first day...my friends and i all got it to play online...i played it for the first few weeks (never finished the game) and got so bored with it that I haven't touched it in like a year, and neither have my friends...waste of money for me. i am definitely NOT going to shell out any money for the DLC since i don't even want to finish up the original game.

actually most of microsoft's divisions are making a profit (if not all of them), but the big difference is that they are making LESS profit than they did in previous years...if your profits are shrinking, then it's time to unload some of the dead weight employees.
i think i read somewhere that the ps3 version had sold about 100,000 more than the xbox360 version...so not great sales on either platform. i expected it to sell alot higher on the ps3 though considering Tomb Raider was a hugely successful exclusive for playstation for a long time.

once you see HD games on a 50" plasma screen, then absolutely yes, they matter.
my friend plays on a 36" crt tube tv, and his text is slightly blurred and games don't look very sharp...he thought that was normal until he saw the same games on my 50" panny plasma...now he is saving up to get one too...

also, another point to remember is that the cost of the "free" psn network is rolled into the cost of the ps3...don't think for a second that psn is actually free..it costs alot of money to maintain servers dedicated to online services, and sony is smart enough of a company to have known this when they advertise their network as free, but in reality, they keep an eye on how much it costs and it factors into IF and WHEN the ps3 gets price cut...
yes, and sony said rumble controllers were "last-gen", yet they jumped back on that bandwagon....but all early adopters of ps3 don't have rumble controllers....remember Sony we don't NEED rumble in next-gen systems....remember that statament?
i have yet to see the best lcd have a better picture than the best plasma even with all the latest "hz" numbers that lcd are touting...i'll stick to my 50" panasonic plasma and continue to enjoy the best picture!
why would microsoft be scared about a game hype??? were they scared when the mighty Metal Gear Solid 4 was about to be released? Every sony fanboy said that game would sell millions of new ps3's...yet the game didn't sell spectacular numbers because all teh sony fanboys that hyped the game forgot to actually go out and buy it....same thing happens with almost every single hyped ps3 title...they sell well, but nothing spectacular to make any company shake in their boots.

i love how sony adds $100 for wifi, yet it is nto required because the 360 has an ethernet port, and any gamer who plays online knows that running an ethernet cable will yield the fastest connection.
also, sony seems to forget that out of the box, it doesn't even have an hdmi cable, it comes wiht a composite cable...yeah, not even component, but a COMPOSITE cable...so lets add $60-$100 for an hdmi cable...and don't give me the bull of "you can get an hdmi cable online for li...

seriously, you need to be more accurate with your numbers if you are going to make a comment like that. here are the numbers:
xbox360 = 24.8 million
ps3 = 17.8 million
saying the ps3 is closing in on 20 million in 2 years is like saying the xbox360 is closing in on 30 million in 3 years. using the numbers:

if you are using that logic, then every single shooter-type game that has even been developed for the xbox360 and ps3 should have gotten bad reviews when they compare it to Crysis which is on a PC.....
