For one thing both machines showed their age when Crysis came out in 2007. We don't buy consoles with the thought that the graphics will ever be near a current PC's level of sophistication. We buy consoles because they keep things standardized between gamers, so things like driver issues and updates aren't such a concern as they would be to a PC gamer.

When companies care for their customers it shows. And I give a lot of respect to companies that go out of their way when it matters. But in the end they can't be nice to each and every customer and that's where it falls apart.

The art is and always has been one of GoW's strong points. But honestly the guy is so one dimensional in his pursuit. I think aggression and violence are his only methods of dealing with his issues.

The Dirt series of offroad racing is much better plus the engine the guys at Code Masters use always makes the cars look sweet.
Gran Turismo is considered one of the heavy weights of the racing genre, right in there with NFS and Ridge Racer. Of course each game serves a specific interest, simulation or arcade, circuit or freeroam.
Blur is a very solid game, and to me it brings the same feelings I had when I first played games like GT or RR.
It's going to be a good year for race fans to hit the asphalt :-)
Of course its funny...but many if those things weren't actually part of the experience out of the box. A lot has been added through firmware updates and of course they have an eye on Xbox Live so they sure do copy a lot of its features.
PS3 fans continue to disregard the credit that is due to Xbox Live for always being the premiere service.

To me, when I bought Resident Evil 4 on gamecube because it was exclusive at the time it didn't bother me. I already had a gamecube and several of its best games. But now in this time of economic troubles if the same scenario was to play out and instead I only had a PS2 then I would've been glad that it was later released.

It controls very similarly to God of War and gets a lot of its ideas from similar games of the genre. Finishing moves, evade controls, stuff like that. I think PS3 gamers purposefully shun it in order to not put it in the same class as God of War as that would prove a multiplatform game to be its equal.
But also the media and reviewers didn't take to Dante so well, so maybe it's a good thing to wait and pay less for it. My experience so far is that it's pretty epi...

Hell my friends were all over God of War 3 until I brought over Ninja Blade one day and we all had a blast and the other guys even said they liked the QTEs in it better.
Of course that's just our experience but we still shouldn't be any less entitled to how the game ultimately made us feel.

Mainstream is a L O N G way away. Probably further along than you would like to think.
Nintendo has proven that gimmicky ideas can STILL thwart any sort of technological prowess other consoles will try to show off. And even with that, look at how Sony's similar attempt with sixaxis conversely failed.
There's no real demand for 3D TV. There IS interest, but not everyone is going to like the idea that it's more equipment to buy. Just like controller...

That's funny, I think I remember one of the golden rules of interacting with people online is to never take anything personal. So you PS3 owners got flack for essentially receiving what you always dished out to other gamers.
Nobody is innocent here, but it would be nice to see the console war die and people can just go back to reading articles that actually interest them as gamers. And it would be really super to see PS3 fanboys especially just laying off the hate/insults...
I'm very sure this "Raiden" game will feature Sunny, and it's quite possible that she's the cyborg ninja we've been seeing. They could put Grey Fox in the suit too, it's just that they're saying that this MGS takes place between 2 and 4 which would mean a younger Sunny and a (supposedly) dead Grey Fox.
Or they could just do what everybody else ends up doing, turn it all into a clone story LOL.
