Unless you thought gaming journalism is supposed to be based on truth, then simply the truth is that games are entertianment. Nobody's right or wrong for how a game/movie/song/artist moves them. Or doesn't.

But also even if the magazine or website isn't all for one console the reviewers themselves can be biased too. I liked game reviews before in the 00s since the web wasn't as saturated with fanboys as it is now, but now that fanboys have infested sites like N4G and others I take all gaming news and reviews from now on with a grain of salt.

Google and Linux are fine to challene the OS market because even with 10 operating systems it still wouldn't be too crowded. But for Apple to make a games console they'd have to chose a market to compete with, and there's already a machine in each position.

This guy makes an absurd case. He doesn't understand the way that Square Enix decided to port FF XIII from the PC to the consoles. There is an architectural difference when working on PC 360 or PS3, in particular the two consoles have different approaches to how graphics work is done. It's a review of the Xbox 360 version and the first thing that PS3 fanboys want to do is say how they'll be getting the PS3 version.
And it's even funnier that you can go on Amazon right now and find customer reviews quoting that FF XIII is lower in resolution on 360 than PS3, which isn't true at all. A side by side comparison of both versions would show that the only difference is in the CG fmv movies, 1080p for PS3 and 720p for 360.
i still wonder why they dropped support for the geforce fx series. they're the same architecture that's in the 6 and 7 series.
i have one in an old desktop that's been upgraded to windows 7 and the only drivers that work are the last ones they released back in 2006 for vista. maybe i might try inf-modded drivers.
Both sides have good and bad points, but neither is infallible. Discs can be physically damaged while digital copies can become corrupted or have DRM complications. However at least with digital you can fix the issue by re-downloading content if your licenses are still in tact. With discs the only solution is to buy another copy.
Or exercise your DMCA rights and make a backup copy of your legally purchased game.

Reach is big. KillZone 2 took 4 years to develop, while Halo 3 was released in 2007 and still pisses on other console fps games to this day.

It happens on Xbox 360 too, if you're not connected or signed in you can't play certain demos and most purchased XBLA games become demos again. Not all of them are like that, but it sucks.
God of War 3 won't sell consoles. People might be interested in it, but the ones who have the most interest in it are the ones who've been waiting since their purchase of a PS3. They're God of War fans from the previous gen, and consequently have already made their purchase this gen. And it was either an Xbox 360 or a PS3, but they wouldn't have waited until GoW 3 to come out before buying a PS3.

Have any of you guys played the Just Cause 2 demo? For 1GB you have an environment that's both insanely huge and insanely filled with things to do and cars and people and vehicles. If you do the demo timer glitch (look it up) you'll have an idea of just how much there is to do in the game.
