No matter how anyone frames the issue, crossplay doesnt matter. Hasn't mattered in the past wont matter in the future. This issue isn't moving the needle, not even close.

There is a difference in seeing something as a nice feature, and the fake ginned up outrage over this issue. Most still remain indifferent to the issue even if the concept of cross play is seen as a positive.

Even the vast majority that think it's a nice feature aren't up in arms about it. It really is just fabricated outrage.

No matter how hard you try, this has been and will remain a non issue created by the drive by media. I have seen good arguments as to why cross play will benefit one specific person in their particular circumstance. But there remains no objective argument as to why cross play btw consoles is of vital importance to gaming. Its just not no matter how some may pretend it is.

Hype, hype, hype, hype!!! "Everyone get angry over this is issue like me." Guy still cant make a compelling argument how cross play enhances online gaming.

I found the environments stunningly detailed and iam interested what the actual gameplay mechanics are. Kojima has always been an unusual producer who is very much concerned with doing something different that stands out. Now untethered from Konami he has the freedom to realize his vision. I understand how some feel he may be losing the plot so to speak given what we saw. But I think were going to have to wait and see, Kojima is going to give this the attention to detail very few games get.

Nah your in the minority. The vast majority dont see this issue as vital or something to get worked up about even if they think it's a nice feature.

Neonridr, why is any of this so important to you or anyone? I mean I just cant be worked up about this issue.

There seems to be an strong refusal to accept that for a lot of gamers cross play is not an issue. A lot of people like me dont even like online gaming that much and when they do who is playing with them has no importance at all. There is too much media out there these days promulgating and hyping up controversy in order to generate clicks or a watch.
If you genuinely want cross play and feel it would improve your gaming experience cool more power to you. But let's not pretend t...

What exactly is the benefit of having cross play? I've seen so many articles about it but have yet to see one that argues why it is comparably different/better than not having it for any one gamer.

Speak for yourself, dont pretend to speak for all playstation gamers.

Microsoft has already abandoned this generation so how can they win e3? Phil cant shut up about their next console in development and the problems with their current machines including the X which just came out a minute ago. These are not the actions of someone who believes his company has something for gamers now. Good for him, wonder what he is going to say when they are loosing the next generation as well.

Microsoft by any measure is losing this generation period and by a huge margin. No matter what they did during a single e3 confrences ( short of a huge announcement that didn't happen) this was never going to change. All they can hope for is that decisions they make now payoff next generation, I have my doubts about how committed they actually are for the long term.

I only watch these confrences if at all for gameplay videos. The fact that Sony mostly did that was a huge plus. Their only mistake was talking at all. Show the games and leave it at that, I can do without the corporate talk "we're awesome, you're awesome, these games are awesome " which 99%"of the time is pretty cringeworthy.

This is what E3 needs to be at least 4 me. That ghost TLOU and RE2 trailers were pretty epic especially ghost (wish it was in Japanese with English sub). I actually hate the conference talk and I'm fine just watching the trailers afterward. Which is kinda what Sony did.

Not being sarcastic, but compared to the other 2 makers in which gaming in general is a huge part of their portfolio, the xbox division is such a small part of what MS does. Even the investment in buying studios is not much with a huge possibility of little return, they could easily back out of that with little effect. I think there is little doubt the next xbox will be relegated to 3rd place again due to poor brand recognition outside the U.S. Why not just bow out of the console game and s...

Why is MS still in the video game and console business? Are they really going to commit to this for the long term?

2192d ago 11 agree5 disagreeView comment

No company, especially a publically traded one, is willing to loose money on an investment. This idea that because Microsoft is big cash rich company that they will happily bleed money in their xbox division just so they can win the console wars is ridiculous.

It's a slow build up but once you get to the world serpent the game really takes flight. It truly is amazing and I haven't even finished it. Can't wait to get back to it.

For many gamers the whole gaming on PC thing is non existent and will always be. They are not acting they are enjoying the game in front of them not some imagined version of it running at 120 fps etc...
