The IP was already redeemed with Isolation. The real question is will this new game tarnish it back up again.
That was pretty quick from announcement to release. Good job.
The combat was the only decent thing about the game. The whole thing was set up like an MMO otherwise, and it sucked.
It's like...you guys bought a "this is how to be a woke, socially conscious asshole that nobody likes" handbook and you're just...going down the list one by one and writing articles about it. Have you done anything about how horribly damaging and transphobic the Honey Bee Inn scene in FF7 is yet? Or maybe a thinkpiece about why Gone Home is the best story based game ever made and the whole reason we have story based games being made now (you can even get Tim Schafer for a q...
Came in to say this. Also, they made Phil Spencer, the BOSS OF XBOX, part of their senior executive team specifically to show that gaming is just as important to MS as everything else they make. This is a stupid clickbait article with absolutely no basis in reality.
Very debatable. It's popular, but I've played way better MP games. Siege and Battlegrounds come to mind; hell, Friday the 13th is a more fun experience when it works.
Nah, Polygon's still a pile of shit and one article they spent time on won't erase years of SJW agenda pushing and outright lying to the community they're supposed to be representing.
I really, really hope this game is good, and does well. I'd love to see more small/mid sized studios put out deep single player games like this is supposed to be.
Upvoting for the stuff about Polygon. If anyone wants to post an archive link to this article though I'm interested in reading it.
A little worried about the fact that he worked on Minecraft, because I don't want more Minecraft-like experiences, but I like that MS seems to be committing to a focus on more games. We'll have to see if those games are any good though. I think by next year people are going to be a little tired of Sony's third person action games the way people got sick of MS's first person shooters during the 360 era, so if they have something good in the works they have a shot of doing reall...
I can see this being true, especially for younger kids/teens/millennials who don't have any kind of attention span.
"Action packed persistent world"
So, an Alien shooter MMO.
Pass.
So, let's flip this around. I'm a gay dude. If I brought home a guy only to find out "he" had a vag, I'd be pretty shocked and disgusted too. It's a perfectly legitimate reaction. Unless, of course, you're suggesting someone should be forced to have sex to keep from offending anyone. Is that what you're suggesting, newnormative? Should men be people be forced to have sex with someone they aren't attracted to because "muh tranniez"?
And yet another video game website can't grasp the concept of a timed exclusive.
Does it deserve perfect scores? No. Does it deserve Game of the Year? Yes. Just because something isn't perfect doesn't mean it wasn't the best game that came out last year.
Sony. MS is getting better, but they don't nearly have enough games coming out this year, unless they have surprise announcements at E3. Next year is the first year I think they truly have a shot at "beating" Sony.
The true ending is shit and makes everything you do in the game totally pointless because it's nothing but sequel bait, but if you have someone to play it with it's a lot of fun.
Can't possibly be worse than the pile of abortion leftovers that was Rising.
Investigated sure. Believed to be the truth automatically with no real evidence presented? No.
GTA4 was a pile of shit that took itself way too seriously and sucked in just about every way a game like that can suck.
