Am I understanding this correctly? They're still working on this game but are making updates to existing portions of it while other portions aren't even finished yet?
I don't really see the big deal about going back to work in the office. Most big companies are doing it or have already done it. People didn't think we would just work from home forever, did they? Most of those games you listed aren't SURVIVAL Horror. And the ones that are were not huge sellers or popular enough to be on the same level as your Resident Evils, Silent Hills, or Dead Space.
There's a difference between horror and survival horror. F.E.A.R was a first person shooter action game with a ghost that showed up every now and then in the background. But 99% of the game was fighting soldiers with big guns and tons of ammo.

There are countless characters that could have games made of them.
It had a HUGE impact. It single handedly saved the genre. When the original Dead Space came out Survival Horror was on its last legs. Nothing good had been made in years. Resident Evil hadn't made a new game since RE4 4 years earlier, and while people loved it, there was complaints that it was straying from the Survival Horror aspects.

MvC Infinite made a lot of bad choices with the roster and added an "easy combo mode" to make it less competitive. They removed a lot of fan favorite characters so they could promote the MCU and people got really mad and didn't buy it.
