Why are all of you people in such a hissy fit over this article? I quite enjoyed it. The author made valid points about Drake supposedly being a good guy, but murdering everyone. The only way to make him look good is to have a bad guy that is even worse. It's also not just about killing. Drake is shoved down our throats as a normal everyday (sociopathic murderer) dude. So apparently he was trying to use the bow like in Twilight Princess. No wonder Link was always looking at the ground! I have to say, this guy sounds like a jaded Zelda player. I personally have only played RE4 (and loved it), but I think the problem with Resident Evil is the story. After I played RE4, I got into the story. RE5 really screwed up the story (Killing Wesker? This would seem like a good idea, but it's not. If you've played any of the Professor Layton games, then you'd know that Layton doesn't like to fight. He only fights when he absolutely must. It just wouldn't fit his personality to have him battling in a Smash Bros. game. I've tried to think of how he could fight, but all I could think of was him saying that a "True gentleman never fights."

Technically, it is a gimmick. A gimmick is something interesting that draws attention. It's not necessarily a bad thing, but it's used as a derogatory word nowadays.

Microsoft wants them to make casual games. And pretty much everyone who was responsible for games like the Banjo games, Goldeneye 64, Perfect Dark, etc, have moved on, so Rare as the Rare you know doesn't exist anymore.
I think that it's going to be interesting to see Goldeneye done with Craig. The whole story's been updated by the screenwriter of the Goldeneye movie, so we'll get to see the story, but with a different spin. That's what makes me excited for the game.

@jmare People didn't support the troops in Vietnam. Many people hated troops in Vietnam. You can probably imagine what it would feel like to be a soldier and have people hate you, so would you want that? We say "I support the troops" because we do. It helps morale for soldiers when they know that people support them. Seriously, don't be such a jerk.
