Elden Ring does have a great story but it doesn't give you most of it through cut scenes like most games so i can see how it confuses people who are used to the story being told to them in games instead of having to discover it. You do get some of it the normal way from the main quest cut scenes but the majority of it is found through talking to the NPCs, reading the descriptions on all the items you get, and doing the side quests.

I never had any issues with their games. Graphically they may not be the best but all of their games i have played are fun which is more important. They aren't a bug fest like Bethesda that sometimes need modders to fix their games after launch.

Yeah we haven't even had true next gen games yet. God of War and Horizon looked nice but they weren't true next gen they were cross gen. The only reason for a mid gen upgrade is if they screwed up and the PS5 is under powered and can't run the games they want properly. But that isn't the case so far.

I forgot who it was but it was a hiring manager for either Facebook or some other tech company and he said he loves when these companies tell the employees they have to work from the office again for no good reason because he just goes on Linkedin and finds their employees and starts sending them job offers and makes sure it says they can work from home. Yeah but for game developers they usually get a big bonus once a game is released so one leaving this late in development could reflect that they don't think it will turn out well enough for the bonus to be worth sticking around for.

That's cause most games don't use full raytracing. Portal RTX is one with full raytracing but even a 4090 runs it at like 25fps. Ray tracing just isn't useful for games right now. The performance would be better off going to more assets on screen, destructible physics, or better textures.
Valve is going downhill. First by forcing everyone to upgrade Windows for Microsoft or lose all their games and now restricting people from criticizing games in a review.
If i remember correctly this gen both consoles have architecture that is very similar to PC for devs to save time on developing multi plat games and getting used to developing games on the new consoles. So it's much easier to port games to PC than before so that could be a reason too.
