They could of crafted a new engine by now even Call of duty eventually did. But I believe Witcher 4 is being made on UE5 so they shouldn't have any issue with making an RPG with a lot of dialogue in it if they chose to use it.
I wish they would use a new engine. The best current gen engines i have seen are probably what they use for God of War and Horizon. But even they start to look last gen when you see the stuff people are building with Unreal Engine 5. Bethesda's creation engine can't even compare and ES6 will likely come out around the same time UE5 games are coming out.
This is stupid normally you would push for the Remake to come out first to get new people into the franchise so more people will buy 4.
If i remember correctly they had said back when GoW 2018 came out that there was a gigantic boss they wanted to make but PS4 couldn't handle it so they were hoping to put it in the next game but seeing as they chose to design it around PS4 again they didn't add it and we will never get to see it.

While i agree they should leave cross gen behind they have supported cross gen at launch for the past gens. For example PS4 had cross gen games for the first 2 years like the PS5 currently. The difference was there were more games at launch and early on that felt next gen so it didn't feel like you bought a new console for no reason. Unfortunately for PS5 Jim Ryan straight up lied and made it seem like the big exclusives would be built for next gen only but then after people bought the PS...

Part of the issue is that CSGO wasn't really designed for 8k so just raising the resolution won't make a huge difference from 4k. You need higher resolution assets to see a noticeable difference. Usually for 4k mods on older games you have to download a 4k texture pack but they either don't have any for 8k or they didn't use it. Also it still won't be as good as a game with assets already made for 8k instead of mod texture packs.
