The real question is do we need another "Modern Warfare" clone?
I'd love to see a "NEW" CoD as in like when the first MW came out and blew everyone away, not another sequel that's been the same since.
If they can create a game so good that it was re-released four times, I have faith in them.
For those not in the know, Respawn was responsible for CoD, they were the core staff of IW that got screwed after MW2. Need proof, look at what's happened to the series since.
As much as I'd want to wait for a nextgen or PC release, if it were any longer than a month, I wouldn't be able to resist and just get it on PS3. Thought the same thing with IV and got it on day one.
And this is why gaming is dying a slow death, when progression becomes limited to how much your willing to spend on the game.
Gangnam Style was the most watched song on Youtube history, does that make it the greatest song of all time?
Avatar was the highest grossing movie of all time at the box office, does that make it the greatest movie ever made?
Those points on a new engine, new ideas, that's what people have been complaining about since MW2's release and that 3 years and 3 releases ago (BO, MW3, BO:2). Even if they were to finally change the engine and implement new id...
Well if the PS3 and PS4 will be side by side for a year or so, they should have some sort of cross platform gameplay that'll allow us to play friends that still have PS3.
2k still makes a solid basketball game, just look at what happened to NBA Live. That would've been Madden if EA didn't buyout the NFL license.
"This year’s game will push the boundaries with gameplay and feature innovations that will lay a very strong foundation for the next 25 years of this storied franchise.”
Well at least we know to keep expectations low for a few decades.
Windows 8 is the new vista, I tried it and went right back to 7.
Hopefully they'll get it right with 9 and learn from the community on how to enhance the windows experience with things like rainmeter and rocketdock instead of forcing us to use a tablet interface on a desktop.
definitely agree, was able to spot the difference within seconds for each example.
I think it's time for the end of yearly releases for sports games, it's too soon of a turnaround to do any drastic improvements and changes. So all they do is change the menus, make a few gameplay tweaks, update rosters and viola, last years sports title rebranded for this year.
Instead, sports games should be developed for 2-3 years like a AAA title and during years when it's not releasing, release DLC with roster updates, tweaks, new modes, etc.
The worst part of always online is that you can have the best internet and still not be able to play because some schmuck in a suit decided to skimp on servers.
It always has happened and always will. And even when they iron that out after a couple weeks and get it stable, it's still always short during peak hours.
Then you have server maintenance and downtime and a few years down the line, they shut down the servers for good and you can no longer play. ...
Appealing to the lowest common denominator, like all forms of media...
TV's top shows are reality shows centered around people known more for their sex appeal than talent.
Most popular music is nothing but get drunk and have sex.
The best selling video game is a generic shooter that's released yearly with barely any improvements.

FFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUU EA and take my money...
10,000 cameras and 90% of them on the south and west sides, you know you're there when you start seeing flashing blue lights at every intersection.
That would be nice to be able to swap in a small lcd that can display all the data from typical UI and be able to play a game with no overlays.
Wouldn't get my hopes up, C&C is dead, the series hit rock bottom with the last one and the next one (Generals 2) is free-to-play microtransanction garbage. Imagine building your base and some items taking 4+ hours to build..... unless you pay up for in game credits to speed up construction. No thanks...
and to think C&C was the first RTS to really get me into the genre, a true shame....
My only guess is this is a projector with a camera attached to it since the kinect would be on the xbox watching you. That said, I can see this working on a PC either official or unofficially.
So much for needing the xbox for the one thing I was actually hyped for so far.
