I'm renting it too. If "renting" means never touching the damn thing like the first game and pretty much every other EA game this gen.
They should definitely win a prize for "How to take away ever shred of hype for your game and damage it all together" alright. They even managed to dethrone Warner Brothers and Shadow of War and all the unneccesary damage they brought themselves with a game that also won't be winning any GOTY awards anytime soon. Well done.

Correct, they are not "zombie games". They are "zombie GENRE" or survival horror games though, even if it isn't the exact best way to describe them.
Sure looks like it. It might even hit that chord with the donkey masses since its zombie genre game too, much like how The Last of Us was even more successful because of the casuals that actually checked it out and then were blown away that this is what a game is outside of COD and FIFA.

And Youtubers like Angry Joe can do 7 or 8 videos talking about all of this, promoting the game regardless while never giving a single mention of brand new ambitious looking games we need like Ghosts of Tsushima.

There is no co-op campaign? Damn, that was the one reason I was thinking of getting this for a cousin in a sale for Christmas. No point now.
Because as we know, all in game trailers and gameplay shown of PS4 games at PSX will simply be footage of developers working in offices on games that may or may not be cancelled later, like all that cancelled "office footage" of Amy Henning's Star Wars game.
Because THAT is all we ever get at an EA showcase or conference i.e. NOTHING. How is a Playstation Event even remotely close to that?
I haven't bought anything from them this gen so far and I have been missing out on nothing. Even Dragon Age I never bothered with because I never got round to playing the 2nd one yet.
And there is nothing in the works from them that I am interested in either.
Don't worry, this game will never sell as much as the original after they released an online only game that STILL had very sparse content. Even the donkey masses noticed that with the original game and won't be stung twice. And even though the player console base has nearly doubled since that game came out, the sequel still won't sell anywhere as close.
Unfortunately this won't make a damn difference to EA because only .05% of the player base needs to get ad...

It time to grow up because EA are taking its audience SO serious with this new release, like a The Last of Us game entry lol.
Its great news for standard PS4 owners too. Now devs are offloading CPU tasks to the GPU in their games and engines like they SHOULD have been when Mark Cerny told them at the PS4 reveal almost 5 years ago. Its been working great for PS4 exclusives and their engines so far and it shows.
Case in point, AC Origins, it runs amazing on standard PS4 with it actually looking incredible AND hitting that 1080p sweet spot that the other garbage engine AC games this gen, that still somehow did...
@maybelovehate Because the ND game equivalent on Xbone this gen, Quantum Break, is a native resolution AND great game this gen on both Xbone and XboneX lol? Exactly.
Its worked so easily for me this gen so far to boycott their games. Seriously, what have I missed out on?
