For f*** sake, for the last time, there is NOTHING special about this studio when they say that this Beta was actually not like other Betas but is a REAL Beta/Alpha/PreAlpha. @just_looken I have 5mb broadband. By the time I got to chapter 5 the patch was done. Quit the game and am going to go back to it now with 1.02 installed.
The patch adds a few things like multiplayer, character model viewer (which I assume you can access after clearing it) and Photo mode.
There is no major reason you can't start playing right away and then apply the patch when it is done downloading.

@Septic How so? You are right, PS4 has taken some things from 360 and these are the reasons PS4 sucks this gen compared to what PS3 was. Required sub to play online, awkward headset support rather than allowing ANY bluetooth or usb headset to work like on PS3 (its still better since Xbone at launch though but that little bit of 360ness could have been avoided), can't store videos on the console's hard drive. Those are some of the reasons why PS4 sucks.

The same thing can be said since Phil Spencer said in early March they are bringing out an upgradeable Xbone. The only problem is, no matter what they do it will have to stick with the DDR3 and awkward eSRAM which is kind of a problem.
