BO4 was upfront about not having a campaign though so I knew not to buy it. MW3 was advertised as having a campaign and then it had basically one mission and Warzone with bots, rendering my preorder useless
Thank christ I bought it on Steam so I could refund once I saw what was happening
I buy CoD for the campaign and usually get sucked into multiplayer for a month or two. Without the campaign (which MW3 really doesn't have) I have no interest. Imo it...
This was so obviously a PR stunt. Good job Phil Spencer you saved the day!
You do HAVE to pay for it if you want the most basic of features Steam gives you for free though. Something as simple as playing p2p games online.
May as well lock away the ability to play single player without a sub, increase the price some more and add eBooks.
HiFi Rush for the hundredth time hell ya
That's it though
Ah man I was really stoked for Unannounced Large Ubisoft Game.
Well why the heck else does anybody care that you need internet to activate the disc drive then?
Like i said in my og message, I don't care in the slightest about this. I play on PC my dudes.
@EvertonFC:
Comparing video games to a washing machine isn't a fair comparison. Video games are art that should be able to be experienced for all of time. A washing machine is a washing machine.
I'm just speculating on why people might t...
Yeah I agree people are overreacting and it doesn't really matter but still - the reason people are upset is because the external disc drive is useful for the future of the console when the laser is dead and replacements are hard to find.
Theoretically if Sony goes bankrupt in 20+ years or decides to shut the Update servers down, all of a sudden every external disc drive is useless.
Like with most "preservation" things I don't think it ...
I'm so excited to see what they're working on honestly. It's been a while. They've always been a technical showpiece for the Unreal Engine. Hopefully they can do it again with UE5
Yep. That's why I didn't pick this or Gran Turismo up. Or any of the recent CoD games.
@EvertonFC: I have extremely fast and reliable internet. I just like to purchase games that I can play for the rest of my life rather than single player games that I rent for the duration of the server's existence before losing forever with no ability to ever play it again on anything.
The second any game is exclusive to Gamepass, the death of retro gaming in the future is secured lol
I bought a 360 specifically for Alan Wake, and even bought my first gaming PC when it released on PC. I love Remedy to death but honestly - no physical console copies and even worse being Epic Games Store exclusive on PC unfortunately has stopped me from even slightly thinking about getting excited about Alan Wake 2. Just an enormous ball drop
I get that im a minority but I just cant for the life of me understand why anybody would buy a digital game on a closed platform for the same price as a physical version or a digital version on a more open platform
In exchange for not leaving the house for 20 minutes, you sacrifice your ownership, the physical item, almost 100% guarantee you wont be able to play it on future consoles, your monthly data cap and/or your future monthly data cap next time you're broke, your...
"PS5 cloud streaming is exclusively available on the PS5 console"
The one and only reason i'd ever want this for even a second is to play on other devices lol why would i want to stream a PS5 game on a PS5?
As much as i hate GamePass and what Microsoft is doing to the physical market, they're the only one to do streaming right. An option that works across lower powered devices and allows you to download the games on the Series/PC.
There...
YAY A DAY AND DATE PC RELEASE
I came real close to importing an Asian PS4 copy but as much as I've always lowkey loved the horrible performance of the EDF games, I've tasted what it can be. Still if this was console exclusive I'd legit re-buy a PS5 for it I'm hyped
Yeah I've even played it. It's so absolutely horrendous that it goes beyond the point of being funny and into just depressing territory
Still - a group of developers contracted to make a LOTR game in an extremely short amount of time on a hilariously small budget with demands from higher ups - in almost all instances where a game is this horrid, you can and should blame the publisher. No game developer in the entire world goes through the effort of becoming a game d...
"So called developers"
Yeah lets blame the devs. Can't possibly have anything to do with their extremely small team, budget, and time constraints from shovelware horse game publisher Nacon. Screw those developers *shakes fist*
The fact that these evil dinguses acquired Harmonix to make Fort skins makes me absolutely depressed af
I mean i agree with ya but it's kinda taken off as a name for the genre of games that play like retro FPS games from the 90s. Postal 4 is an FPS but so is Postal Brain Damaged and they're both very different games - with Brain Damaged being, well, a boomer shooter. It needs some sorta name to differentiate lol
Not saying boomer shooter's the best name (it's trash as hell) but it's definitely it's own genre beyond just "first person shooter"...
But that's extremely obviously not at all what this game is and not even close to what's being talked about. You don't even have to read the article, all you have to do is watch 5 seconds of the trailer or read even one sentence of the reply from the developer in the article but you clearly didn't do either of those things. It's a cutscene explaining backstory, and they made it optional content to avoid disturbing any viewers that don't care to see it.
im waiting til 9 months from now when I inevitably walk by a clearance stack of them at WalMart for $30 like what happened with the PSTV, the Playstation 3DTV, the PSOne Classic and the PSP Go. Never fails with these things lol
(I'm not ripping on it. I'm legitimately just 100% sure this is gonna go clearance pretty quick. It's so niche)
