"There is no perfect game and small bugs..."

I take it you're not familiar with the PC version. Gsync isn't working, tearing is atrocious, frame rate is lousy, stuttering is constant, and zero widescreen support (and I can be BANNED for using the fix with Flawless Widescreen). Also, if I try to use another setting than Full Screen, either HDR gets disabled entirely or I get an incredibly distorted image with Full Screen unless it's at 5120*1440. It als...

"- Start-up issues related to Easy Anti Cheat (EAC) have been improved"

I wish this included not potentially banning me for using FlawlessWidescreen so displays properly. In fact, it would be nice if this was just in the options.

Just bought Ghostrunner for PS5 a few weeks ago. Oh, well. It was pretty cheap, like $10. Fun but fairly difficult game.

Nothing quite like the first experience with an enemy like the red-eyes knight you've agitated and realize one hit takes off 90% of your health and you really screwed up. LOL. Have to learn through practice and experience to get the timings and techniques down. Learning the fundamentals is essential. Button mashing won't cut it in these games, but dying almost always feels like it was fair and your mistake for messing up on your timing or going a bit too far before cashing in your sou...

I'd think the fact that we have versions that are in playable states is more relevant to which machine "wins," but that's just me thinking crazy thoughts.

DualSense has become a factor for me in deciding between PS5 or PC versions of some games, particularly if it's the type of game I'd prefer to play with a controller like a fighting game or action game. I picked up the PS5 version of Sifu but I'd buy most first-person shooters to play with keyboard and mouse and high frame rates if it's a competitive game. So far Returnal, Astro Bot, and WRC9 have probably had the most impressive haptic feedback implementations I've tried ...

@Orchard A settings tweak in which they are toggling some settings and whatnot like a 60 fps patch is not the same as an actual PS5 version. Not even close. I'm not crazy about a price increase to $70, but do not act like a minor free settings tweak as seen with 60 fps patches with TLOU2 or Horizon: ZD is the same as a full PS5 version. They would definitely charge for a substantial upgrade that requires a lot of time and manpower to make. If the cost is that objectionable, you can wait ...

I'd say it's better than "not bad." It's not exactly the best known team. It's a little French indie team with about 60 people that did Absolver. Half a million in sales in a few days quite good, especially amid other February releases like Dying Light 2, Horizon: FW, and Elden Ring.

I avoided watching much prior to release so I could approach this cold with nothing major spoiled. After I had played awhile (and got my @$$ handed to me for most of that same span of time), I watched a level I'd played from an elite player. As I suspected, it didn't differ too much from what I was doing with the key exception of his defense timing was nearly perfect. I should probably just put some time to work on the defensive timing in the dojo, particularly the high and low dodge....

From the guy who has outright said he hates white people, and somehow he's fighting against racism by bashing whites? Didn't seem to be the most credible "journal(activ)ist" to me. The San Francisco woke weirdo mob isn't the demographic for a game based on old kung-fu and martial arts movies just as they weren't going to be the target audience like Sons of Anarchy fans with Days Gone. No reason to cater to idiots like these activist clowns. They don't buy these t...

That's a pretty impressive start considering what else is being released this month and next month. Very pleased for them even if this game has been stomping me into the ground so far.

@KrillinShrine "Ending A" isn't actually the end of the game. There is a significant amount of content in routes C and D that take place after A and B. You haven't finished the game if you stopped at A.

In most cases, yes, definitely that is necessary, especially for story driven games. I can see exceptions such as online multiplayer only games like Team Fortress 2 or Overwatch; in those cases you should have adequate experience with all the characters and available modes to provide a decent overview of the content and quality of the game.

I knew they'd be bitching about the difficulty. How do they play video games for a living and are still terrible at it? Too much time on Twitter and Tumblr and playing on easy modes, I guess. Any time I see these activist weirdo websites complaining I think of that clown who couldn't complete the Cuphead tutorial.

Seems like everyone liked BotW except me. My younger brother is playing through it and loving it. Couldn't stand everything breaking nonstop. I felt like someone was spraying Acid Cloud from Demon's Souls on me or poking me with the Scraping Spear and constantly ruining all my gear.

Had all the games I wanted from this already, but I grabbed three 4K Blu-rays instead, Dune, Mulholland Drive, and Chernobyl (which was already 40% off) for about $27 saved. Some of the games would have been a steal to get one free had I not already bought the ones I wanted.

I meant FROZEN Wilds, the DLC, not Forbidden Wilds. Too much Forbidden West on the brain lately.

@hotnickles That's the impression that I'm getting. I think Destiny 2 will see minimal changes if any in the near future but either an additional team within Bungie or completely separate Sony team working working with/ guided by Bungie (seems to be the more likely scenario the more I've read) could make some major live service type of games in the future. I don't think this is the typical move to just buy up a developer to make their IPs exclusive. Sony hasn't had a lot ...

Damn it, I thought about Bungie as being one of the few acquisitions that would make sense and within reasonable cost (they're not buying EA, Ubisoft, or whatever huge publisher; too expensive for most companies) for Sony to address locking down a good first-person shooter franchise, and I didn't say much about it. Bungie's ability to make gunplay feel great is among the best despite being imaginary space guns from the future. This merger could create some crazy prospects. Imagine...
