Times square is a bunch of video screens. It isn't very real. :)

If they could make it behave as a single card then it would be worth bothering with. But support for SLI sucks.

I suspect this card is gonna be like the 9800 GX2 - a flash in the pan. It's just a quick and easy way to take the NVidia to the top of the performance list, but a card that very few will bother to purchase.

Another crap looking device.

Why can't they understand that the iphone looks good because it's basically just a screen. Sony's new media player is the closest I've seen to competing with the iphone, but Sony's device isn't a phone.

I suspect these manufacturers are struggling to get the components small enough and so they're adding chunky button panels and keyboards in order to place the components inside them.

Eurogamer: "A particularly glaring omission is the ability to whisper"

Not being able to IM or whisper to somebody in Home is a good thing. I dislike that feature in Second Life. It can be quite intrusive and sometimes just plain creepy.

It's very common these days on the net. Article writers, blog posters or forum posters often feel they need to be provacative in order to get a reaction and lots of comments. It works too. :(

It's obviously unusual that somebody so old is playing FPS games. and yet when we're all that age it's going to be considered very normal.

I just hope I can still see by the time I'm 70. I started staring at monitor screens at a much earlier age than Stanley :)

I wouldn't recommend this to anybody. SLI has very poor support.

Large touch screens sound too much like hard work.

With the mouse we can do so much just by wiggling our wrist slightly.

"twice as fast as the next most powerful PC in the world."

what a load of cow crap!.

It's simply an overclocked PC that can be bought from anywhere.

The I7 isn't that fast. The hyperthreaded 8 cores are nowhere near as fast as a true 8 core CPU.

Hell, I have a cheap Q6600 quad core CPU clocked at 3.6ghz that will probably run as fast as the I7 in most games.

But.. but wont it get interference and have some people hearing MTV through their modems?.

5655d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

hehe

I'm sure some people did prefer the PS3 version over the XBox version but I'm talkin about the PC version here.

I played both the PS3 and PC version today on the same TV. The PS3 version feels rock solid compared to the PC version. But the PC version in 1080p is pure gorgeous to look at.

I just want more FPS now dammit!

Call me cynical, but isn't it just your typical PC with a bunch of Nvidia's graphics cards running in SLI?.

To get anything out of it you would probably need to run CUDA based applications. Maybe NVidia could persuade a few developers to port their games over to it.

Still, it all smells like marketing to me.

I had the PS3 version and stopped playing it and decided to wait for the PC version to be released. I couldn't tolerate the low resolution of the PS3 version.

Initially I was very dissapointed. But I've since overclocked my machine and downloaded the latest NVidia drivers and things are a little better. I'm now playing it at 1920x1080 and it sure does look good. I mean REALLY good!. Yet the frame rates still get a little choppy in places.

I'm now wondering whether to hold off playing further and waiting for Rockstar to release a patch supporting SLI.

5656d ago 1 agree0 disagreeView comment

ha! I did exactly the same. I hated the jaggies and so decided to wait for the PC version.

I have a feeling that it's all gonna be another GTA 3 mess. I bought that for the PC and because of the poor frame rates I felt the console version was much better despite the pixelation. By the time they had made PCs capable of running GTA 3 at a decent frame rate the game was old and no longer state of the art.

@MrWeymes

There is nobody that owns a PS3 that relies on ads to find out what games are coming out.

If somebody cares about what's on the gaming horizon then they they'll go look, either through magazines or the internet.

and I would even say that very few people rely on magazines these days.

@MrWeymes

If somebody has a PS3 and hasn't heard of Killzone then they're probably deaf, dumb and blind.

Sony needs to send out brail adverts to all the houses in the land. QUICK!
