They could offer me an X360 ELITE for $199 and I still couldn't care less.
Simply put, it can't match my PS3 for value, features or games, regardless what price they drop it to.
Uncharted, InFamous, LittleBigPlanet, Metal Gear Solid 4, Killzone2, Resistance, Resistance2, Ratchet&Clank, MLB'09 The Show, SOCOM....
....God of War 3, GranTurismo 5, Uncharted 2, and such on the way.
BioShock, Oblivion, Fallout3, HalfLife2:OrangeBox, Left4Dead, Ninja Gaiden, Mass Effect etc all available on PS3, Wii or PC.
Where are all you 360iots jivin'bout how the 360 has such a superior game lineup?
1) This guy is just upset because HAZE was supposed to be a "can't miss hit", and it turned out to be a complete dud of a game.
2) The problems with HAZE were not technical. The game played and looked great. It was the rubbish story, drivel dialogue, and generic overall design that kept people from liking the title.
3) Many games before and after have been developed just fine on the PS3, and had this game actually sold a few copies and been the hit game...
I knew the list was a FAIL when "Grim Grimoire" was the first game listed. That game was horrid.
5 Games that I personally think should have made that list:
ROGUE GALAXY
METAL GEAR SOLID 2
SILENT HILL 3
BEYOND GOOD AND EVIL
ODIN SPHERE
So what would those numbers look like without all the 360 owners who've bought their 2nd or 3rd units?
And I work retail selling the damned things so don't try and tell me this doesn't happen, because when people are forking out thier $200+ for the second time, trust me, they tell us.

One day you'll realize the reason the 360 survives is because you're paying hundreds of dollars for services/features I got free on my PS3 and Wii, and most of you have bought 2 or 3 consoles already.

Last Remnant, Infinite Undiscovery, Lost Odyssey, Eternal Sonata, Star Ocean, etc etc didn't exactly light up the sales charts did they?

all these "what if" articles are pointless.
the systems didn't come out at the same time.
the systems don't offer the same amount of out-of-box features.
the systems have different track records for reliability.
people will spend money WHERE THEY PERCEIVE a value, and it won't be the same for everyone, even "hypothetically".
This will always be an endless debate because the system aren't comparable in terms of features, and more often than not, people aren't truthfull about what they've invested in thier system.

Simply put, when you take into account the money 360 owners ...
the 360 is the most expensive console, always has been.
360 owners just aren't honest with themselves about it.
by the time you add the extra costs for battery packs, charge kits, online account fees etc. (all of which is included with PS3) that $250 X360 turns into a $400+ X360 pretty darn quick.
* Outdated disc format
* No HD movie player
* $50+ a year for online services offered free by PSN
* No Motion controls
* No RELIABILITY
The 360 should have been $199 eons ago, and I wouldn't give you $19.99 for one now.
Seriously now, "back on top"?
The only time the 360 was "on top" was when it was the only thing available. Once the Wii and PS3 hit the market, the 360 simply had no chance. Period.

Don't get me wrong friend, the PS3 is by leaps and bounds the best gaming platform for the 3rd generation in a row, but it'll be another year until the numbers start reflecting it.

The Japanese value quality, innovation, and loyalty in their businesses.
They also place a high value on reliability.
That is why people even in America are buying Hondas and Toyotas instead of Chevys and Fords.
Why would you expect the Japanese market, who strives for quality and innovation, to appreciate a machine that fails at a 40% clip and uses outdated disc formats and features? (especially if that inferior product comes from abroad)
Seriously, I'm wondering how much FF13 will be scaled back from what it could have been on the PS3 alone. Those DVDs hold what, 1/5 the room BluRay offers?
