The only reasonable estimate they made was the 360 and everybody is patting them on the back.
They heavily overtracked the Wii and DS and 3DS and undertracked the PS3 (not for the first time).

They don't correct properly. Looking at both companies shipment data, the PS3 is only 2M behind.
There is no way that the PS3 as 500,000 more consoles sitting on selves.
Also a month ago they had the PS3 3.5M behind.
And thats already after constant adjustments.
Keep an eye closly on the way the adjust data and you will see that the are quite sly the way they adjust things to make it look that they were right all along...

Sony have different tactics to MS. MS market heavey and sell more week one while sony market less and have smaller week ones but sell steadier over the years to sell quite a bit. People act like games dont sell on PS3 but thats far from the truth.
