You know up until earlier this year I'd have agreed with you and I still love HTC devices. But the fact is now, the iPhone IS a good device and it's totally due to the app store which allows you to do pretty much everything you mentioned aside from the video calls.
MS let WiMo stagnate for so long now Apple stepped in and started one-upping them and Google's creeping in as well with Android. Hopefully this lights a fire under their ass somehow, but Apple still has the advantage ...

Since when does Sony confirm any rumor that turns out to be true? They'll deny it until they plan to unveil it, and yeah it is coming. My bet is 2010 like the rumor stated as it seems like the perfect time to launch a new one. PS2 emulation will probably happen too and that would be so so sweet.

They're about even as far as exclusive games go (actually I think it favors the PSP some depending on what you like), I have both and can tell you that easily. The problem is most people are too lazy to look for the GOOD PSP games. And Layton works well on the DS, using that argument you could ask why Level 5 didn't put Jeanne D'Arc on the DS and put it on the PSP instead.
I probably won't be playing SC2 now since Dawn of War is my favorite RTS. ..ground based anyway.

They need to add some more sliders for the avatars as far as the bodies are concerned. The proportions seem off like the old Entropia Universe models were. Also some of the skin textures are blotchy.
