Sounds more like making excuses to me.
I'd love to know the source of these threats, since it's obvious that she's financially benefited every time they occur.
From the Article "Anita Sarkeesian was supposed to give a speech at Utah State University, but it ended up getting canceled due to credible threats toward her"
I didn't have to go beyond the first paragraph to find a bald-faced lie. Anita is the one who refused to attend, even after the police decided these threats were not-credible, and posed no reasonable danger.
Go out and try to embrace a feminist and see how that works out for you.
I don't click these links any more, but the author could point out that a number of high profile investors, one of which is Intel, has pulled their adds from sites attacking gamers.
Showing complete disdain for your customers turns out to be a poor business model.
I've been seeing a lot of stories like these coming from sites I've never seen before. To me it seems like bloggers are trying to cash in on a controversy, knowing they're more likely to get more clicks by antagonizing people with their inflammatory headlines.
Personally I'm done with games-media reviews. Too many publications have traded their integrity for clicks by antagonizing their readership.
It may not be exclusive to the OS, but they could be reserving it to go hand in hand with the release to give it greater impact.
Steam Box + Source 2.0 + Half Life 3 would be amazing.
The author has the first comment, and probably submitted the article, so you should ask him.
Nothing but a bunch of shameful self promoting click bait.
The main focus is corruption and nepotism in the games-media. When you have people who write review articles for gaming news sites having intimate relationships with, or financially supporting the developers who's games they review, that's a problem.
There's also been a concerted effort by many sites to silence criticism, and to label anyone who identifies as a gamer as white, male, and misogynist.
If the threats didn't come from anyone in the GamerGate movement, then they have nothing to explain or apologize for. Besides there is no centralized GamerGate Authority.
It's a common-sense assumption that they would be against terroristic threats. The idea that it isn't true unless they tweet about it is stupid.
I've played destiny almost every single day since release, but I'm feeling the lack of 'varied' content. At this point one the weekly raid and strikes are done I'm not sure what I should be doing with my time, since I can't level up any further without the raid gear.
If Bungie really wanted us to put our time into things like the Iron Banner they should have included PVP armor that could get you to lvl 30.
They should have named that one Patience and Time, because you can basically use it constantly, you just have to wait for it to charge.
I already have this week's weapon and armor for my class, guess I'll hold out for next week. I'd love to see a hand cannon drop for the weekly exotic.
There needs to be a level requirement for the iron banner. There's no reason for lower level players to even join. They're an anchor for any team, and probably the reason many quit.
Shards to me are just as good, cause the daily heroics have been killing me with just Ascendant Energy. I'm also close to getting Pocket Infinity, only 110 more nightfall kills to go.
Just beat the Vault with my clan, got the Raid chest piece and the exotic Icebreaker sniper rifle.
The Black Market agent is the best way to get your first exotic, for legendary weapons and armor you should be working on your factions.
Those are some '80s looking walk-man earphones.
I think it's called Hell Divers.
They should do more to tie specific rewards to specific activities, out side of the exotic bounties.
