Dunno why am I getting downvoted for this?
Just pointing it out what likely the protagonist's inspiration was.
Its not like I forced the decision to include the said the character as the main protagonist?

Supposedly inspired by the real life black samurai, Yasuke.

Even though the setting have bee much anticipated one for AC ... the moment I realized that this was helmed by the AC Odyssey dev ... my curiosity greatly plummeted. Odyssey was a good expansive RPG but it didn't feel like an AC game.
So the season pass news doesn't surprise me much. Will still check it out mainly for the graphics.
I am more curious regarding AC Project Hexe. Its less expansive than the recent AC RPGs (more like the earlier OG AC games) & is bein...

Dishonored is Lyon's flagship IP ... Austin only assisted in the first one, the sequel was wholly developed at Lyon whilst Austin developed Prey.
If Dishonored 3 was indeed greenlit ... rest assured, it would've been helmed primarily by the Lyon studio.

Oh yeah ... since Gears 5 was getting so many updates, the game's still felt fresh in my mind ... but the latter part of my above comment still stands ... they could've leveraged their UE expertise and the UE5 hype to create something original of their own for atleast once than continue again with another entry in the same'ol IP handed down to them from Epic Games.
Just look at the Matrix demo they were involved in ... they can cook up something cool and different

sell a 5 bucks cheaper version without the multiplayer mode

I was hoping for something different from Coalition, not Gears 6 so soon.
Their expertise in UE development could've propelled them to try out other IPs using the new UE5.
But guess, given recent MS' state, Gears 6 was the 'safer' call for the studio. But still hope they venture other IPs or even other genres ... at least FPSs in future?

@Sephiroushin
Well hypothetically speaking, Ninja Theory can be sold to Sony at a lower rate sans the Hellblade IP.
Sony can then welcome them to work on the Heavenly Sword IP, which they still own.
Will be a nice proposition for Sony who can continue to offer a God of War-like hack n slash in their portfolio via Heavenly Sword 2, whilst Cory Barlog & co. decides to take a break from the God of War IP & venture some other genres.
On top of that, Nin...

That huge Acti-Blizz acquisition wasn't worth it ... They should've stopped at Zenimax and instead focused "rescuing" individual studios like Crystal Dynamics, Eidos Montreal, Crytek, Volition or Gearbox etc (much better than trying to devour the whole of one of the largest gaming publisher)
IMHO, with no $70 Billion deficit, these studio closures would not have happened ...
