The PS3 game selection sucks. That's why more people buy 360's. Sony's exclusives aren't really that exciting either. Out of their last 3 heavy hitter exclusives one was a dated 2D platformer, LBP, the other was REALLY over-rated and actually kind of sucked, Resistance 2, and the most recent KZ2 is up against already better options out there like COD4, Halo 3, or Team Fortress 2.

It's used games sales and rentals. These figures are also over COD4's lifetime so there have been some Xbox live gold members who dropped the service during that time and some new ones who picked it up.
Yeah, most of the glitches and matchmaking problems have been patched.
I really think it all boils down to the author of the article being angry at the shotgun nerfs. two of his main points are a) speed the game up and b) make the shotgun more powerful like the Gears 1 days. That just screams, "Waaaaah, I wanna run and jump around like a monkey and be a shotgun noob!"

yeah, if you read the guy's article he raises a couple good points and couple stupid ones but then it becomes obvious that he's also a shotgun noob that hates the shotgun nerf which makes me lose all respect for his opinions on the game.
also, what is the big deal with people hating the chainsaw? ever since Halo the melee attack has been a prominent part of the FPS and usually trumps anything in close quarters if done right. melee keeps the action moving.

For the most obvious difference, compare the swamp and water effects in the last two pictures. 360 version is much better.
Huge difference between the two swamps in the last two pictures. The PS3 version looks really bad. Take a look.
Also, overall the PS3 version was missing many dynamic lighting and post-processing effects present in the 360 version. Not to mention certain objects and sky effects are missing from the PS3 version.
That IGN writer was just being nice when he recommended the 360 version because he didn't mention any of this.
Damn, and I thought I was the only one who dropped COD for Halo 3. Halo 3 is better. Great vehicles, awesome weapons, awesome physics, awesome game types, etc. So much crazy stuff can go down in one match that never could go down in Gears or COD. Don't get me wrong I like both those games but just not as much as Halo 3.
