Jealousy is the reason for much of it. I could care less. Already preordered. I wasn’t looking hard at the game and then that combat trailer from last month popped and I was immediately on board.

@crazy,

I do not have many hobbies - diving, mountain biking, climbing, don’t skydive much these days, xfit, and gaming. And some of that is curtailed due to covid. So if I like something I’ll dump money into it. I am not like some people on this board with 3 kids ha ha. So all that cash for the kids college fund others have to set aside I am able to use :)

You are completely oblivious to the manner in which a business functions aren’t you. That much is obvious. Microsoft is not burning money on this because they “love to do it” Discussing this with you is utterly and ultimately useless because your defense of them is so guarded by blinders. Losses are endured over the short term as a form of investment but eventually when payoff fails businesses will take steps to curtail said losses. At that point it affects the end user, the gamer. But you go...

"Wow a gamer is more Concerned if a service like game pass is profitable"

Wrong...again.

No one is concerned if gamepass is profitable for Microsoft. What an imperceptive interpretation of the obvious. People are concerned with the sustainability because of how it will affect gamers when prices go up and services are reduced. You failed to attack the point of view because you ignored the responses and instead your target was the individuals pos...

I managed to get one Pulse, Two Cameras, a 3rd controller, and two disc version PS5s. I went back to get another Pulse and too late. Gone. My local Gamestop only received 3 for their allocation and I got one of those. One PS5 will get the headset for focused multiplayer versus and coop and the other gets my main 7.1 system. If Sony moves to support 9.1 then I am going to replace my receiver and add another set of appropriate Klipsch speakers.

I have two preordered and I would not sell something I am looking forward to so much. A premiere I planned intricately in order to get in one case and just was relentless in the second.

People are being played Apocalypse. I have never seen a generation, where you are supposed to be looking forward to the future, so caught up and tricked into thinking looking backwards is of paramount importance.

Went over your head didn’t it. Notice that isn’t a question. I was referring to why Wired made the statement rather than making an actual comment about the long term costs.

But let’s discuss that since you brought it up. And it was you. It doesn’t matter if MS can afford it but rather it isn’t sustainable. Every person that joins increases the loss. To what end. Again, not a question. Until they pull the plug. But you go ahead and pay for everything and own nothing.

I believe they are stating this because from their analysis it actually loses money.

Just an amazing addition to an already stunning and immersive experience. I can only imagine the Raid coming will be a Mongol fortress. Really looking forward to the two player story mode.

He said the entire thing was toasty. Not just the SSD.

I am not saying they will have them Infinite. I do not think they will. I am saying after the loot box controversy blew up they continued to sell them in H5 and do so to this day. Whether people buy them or for what they use the money that does not alter the fact they are loot boxes. And for their actions they were given a pass. In my very first post my comments align with yours - Halo Indinite may not have them - and that remark of mine was based off a Halo devs twitter post stating they wou...

It doesn’t matter where the money goes. They are still loot boxes. Separating gamers from their money, regardless of where those dollars land doesn’t alter the nature of what they are or their mechanism. How many gamers know where their loot box money goes? Answer? Doesn’t matter. You can rob a bank and claim you are innocent because you are giving the money to the poor but it doesn’t alter the fact you committed a crime.

"There is a reason why the GoW on the PS4 Pro makes the fan go crazy because it uses the full power of the PS4."

The power demands in the PS4 are not constant.

In the case of the PS5, the SSD and I/O system can alter the tradition manner in which you experience a game world. It isn't just about how the world appears but rather how you travel to it, move through it, The same is true for the adaptive triggers and the haptic feedback on the DS5. That's just scratching the surface.

Every time a new trailer has premiered the dev team has upped the ante. Every time.

Power flow is constant. Cerny made that clear in his discussion. This was done to eliminate variables.

People really need to watch that presentation. If I didn't know better I would say most people on this board ignored it.

@Bathyj,

I have never seen a technical talk so disregarded by gamers as the PS5 discussion by Cerny. Posters on this site have ignored his remarks on the internal bay, then the fact you could use approved off the shelf SSDs for expansion, and now the constant power equation.

I’m not the one closing my eyes to a company pushing loot boxes.

How it will work. Cerny explained in video exactly how it will work. And it allows open market producers to fight a price war which is to the benefit of gamers.
