There is some really good information in the latter part of this article and specifically they detail compatible SSD expansion sizes. A great deal of depth also on the materials and reasons for design choices, particularly the size being driven by the desire for a single mainboard construction.
1st part titles generally do not employ that technique so I do not think it is a cause for concern.
I do not want them to do something like Microsoft rewards but instead implement their own imagining.
This is a feature long overdue for all titles on all systems. I do t think they should necessarily be there as participation trophies - played the game the first time? No not something that should see a reward. But for the average player that pushes it just a little there is ample room to inject rewards that really cost the company almost nothing yet enhance the atmosphere for the gamer.
Veryallgaming.com. Really? Wasn’t this article linked at Muchplayvideogame.com?
@Sully,
We do not have to take that position. The PS5 UI isn’t just a thought, or rather an after thought by Sony. Here is a UI designed from the ground up to actually impact gaming directly. It will enhance and augment your gaming. What Sony has done is create a Smart HUD for the PS5 and I am amped to see where they take this.
I purchased this back when it was for sale as a really fleshed out demo on itch.io A lot of people deride that site referring to the titles as those that didn't make it to Steam. But a buddy pointed me to it and I bought it and really enjoyed it. So glad that Nicholas continued the development.
"It baffles me the amount of people who throw around fanboy as an insult without a trace of irony, but if you check their comment history they're so rabid that a vet would put them down on sight."
The difference is if they own it. You are ignoring that fact. It is one thing to be openly, forwardly, and unabashedly on one side of the equation. There is honestly in that approach. Nothing wrong with that at all. I am. I have gone a step further and openly stated ...
@ TheScotsman
:( The good thing is all of us eventually :)
Thanks. The feedback is very much appreciated.
I was interested in this title because of the material and the art style but haven't picked it up. Could you clarify jerky? I am just attempting to understand. Is it pulling your aim/view or your entire character? In the video it seems like aim/view. It almost looks like a blending issue. Any info is sincerely appreciated.
I am a huge Sony supporter but these articles are just becoming absurd. It seems to me these may be little more than the true definition of clickbait, written to generate site visitor revenue.
@Yppupdam,
No issues :) I took it as simple observance and am well aware that sometimes when you are simply being honest it reads like PR.
You are spot on with regards with this bleeding into other industries. And it does demonstrate quite clearly that Sony was looking for a transmutation, a radical departure from a menu system that merely puts you into a game and you do not employ it again until you quit or answer a PM. This entire time no one was reali...
"So they're not allowed to report that a small studio is being given issue to put their own game on a sale?"
The issue is the reporting is misleading. This may not be intentional. But the truth is no one has all of the facts in the case. When someone says, "This doesn't make any sense" they should stop and ask themselves if it is a company being stupid, which is entirely possible for any corporation, or could it be that there is something else at...
I am absolute agreement Sully and swoosh shouldn't ferl the least bit odd for his honest analysis. I appreciate that years ago Sony looked at the entire ecosystem that was to become the PS5 and said we have two choices. We can do what we were doing and go twice as hard, or we can go back to the drawing board, rip the drawing board off of the wall and rethink things from the creation and design stage. This UI is a sleeping monster. Once gamers get their hands on it I think the cry will bec...
There is. It is called the Brave browser: https://brave.com/
I could have posted that the UI was okay but that would have been neither correct nor honest. I am actually the one that agreed with your remark, particularly the latter portions. I have read paragraphs where people were gushing over a title or device in a particular game, hitting 4K but such an achievement is at the end of the day not only a distraction but also quite worthless. I do not care for Digital Foundry for a host of reasons but I will give credit where it is due. The importance of ...

Yes it is. If you click on it you may have to wait a second on a mobile device and then the text switches. I have looked at it on both mobile and desktop and it’s fine.
