I'd like Final Fantasy to feel like a JRPG, not baby's first spectacle fighter, again but that's not going to happen.
How will the games industry continue now?
I love the game, but the last third is pretty monotonous and just drags on.
Based on what metrics?
Yeah.
I love deep character creators, but you won't see me taking more than 2 hours (tops) using them.
It's an RPG; I want my character to be my character. I'm not spending all day, let alone days, to make that happen.
Console gaming sucks right now, in general.
That's a bit of a misdirection.
If the game is only on Playstation then, realistically, the only people trying to prop it up are PlayStation players.
"selling well due to the install base" isn't exactly a great excuse. You chose to isolate the original release to one platform. The production of a mainline FF game is relatively high.
The Tomb Raider reboot cost significantly less to produce, sold around 10 million copies, and you considered it a failure more than a decade ago.
Loved the first. Definitely grabbing soon.
Is that really bad though? That's the way the market is shifting in general, which means it's obviously a popular model for consumers.
There will be both pros and cons had, which has been seen in movie/TV subscriptions, but I don't find subscriptions innately bad. As a consumer things like Humble Monthly and Gamepass have been good for me.
Eh.
This always online aspect really needs to die in situations like this but, all the same, sometimes I just want to enjoy the gameplay, itself, and opt to play with bots.
Sometimes you just aren't feeling competitive.
Definitely will keep an eye out with how this goes. Patapon is a classic not many really talk about.
Not many really came out and painted it as all out bad. Just fairly mediocre and with performance issues.
I have Gamepass, so this feels like a win for me as a gamer.
Square, themselves, are looking at it as a failure.
And it's also still being looked at as a failure within their own company.
So Druckmann takes helm and we just sit and accept rereleases of past games?
Imagine being a popular IP that EXISTS within their key demographic area.
I hope you do at least realize how pathetic it is to be making faux accounts on a game site that only a dozen or so people frequent daily.
That's how sad your existence is.
