Same.
Underrated gem, this game.
I really enjoyed the original.
What's great about Kojima is that he consistently learns how to improve upon his prior work. People really only disagree on the narrative quality between titles, but in terms of gameplay? Kohima is an absolute beast at one-upping himself. If we look at Metal Gear Solid, it's really hard to dispute V has the best gameplay, but the worst narrative (in my opinion). Generally, your favorite MGS game comes down to balance between narrative and gamep...
Too many first person games for my tastes.
Diddy Kong Racing DS?
Because it's coming to their platform...?
Mostly agree, though digital is not in itself inferior.
The issue from what I gather is that prices are the same and you only license those games. The pro consumer approach would be to either "sell"you games cheaper OR, preferably, give you the ability to do whatever you want with the digital copy you have. If I want to burn a game I bought from a USB drive to a blank Blu-Ray to generate a physical copy, I should be able to do that. If they have to develop some pr...
Yes, that is generally the case when a small unknown studio gets massive backing. Hellblade II is a game that, while similar in length to the first game, certainly would not have the impressive production value it currently has without Microsoft.
For all intents and purposes, it was a very "safe" sequel.
While I would have loved for more time to go into making it an evolution of gameplay, I can't say I'm surprised, given Insomniac's output this generation.
I hope Sony backs off and lets them cook, but we'll have to see.
Even if the devs didn't offer a physical release...
..... The players will.
Goodnight, everybody!
Ninver,
Don had the look of a sleazy businessman, but I don't understand why that moment gets a bad rep.
They were super honest in that moment, and I have to say, it sucks that this is the direction the company would take, but it was such a mask off moment that really highlights their plan.
Nowadays, you have Phil, who isn't direct but is very much still going in the same direction.
What it comes down to, at ...
Moonlit Wilderness.

End of an absolute Chad of a mangaka.
He and Miura (another legend who passed in recent years) have made such impacts with their works.
Thanks for the memories, Toriyama-san. Rest in power, you will be survived decades from now by your life's work.
GhostScholar is known more for their vocal disinterest in these types of games (and wants to make sure you know about it) than anything, I'd say.
It's fine to dislike these games and be vocal about it. I do it all the time with Microsoft.
But there doesn't seem to be anything constructive or insightful. Just comes across as whinging.
Very likely, yes.
Made worse by the fact that the execs aren't changing their compensations.
My deepest fear at this point is that we are now in the capitalism endgame.
At this point, we really should just burn AI to the ground. Executives cannot be trusted to do the right thing.
How are those people expected to support families if everything gets automated?
Well known fact that games sell hardware. But it is also true that people look to maximize their hardware investment over the course of a few years and buy in before there's much to play yet.
We'll get an idea of how much Rebirth drives PS5 sales by end of March. Since it's a late month release, we'll have a better idea in March.
If PS5 sales are high, we can assume people held off on getting a PS5 until Rebirth.
If PS5 ...
What the hell are you on about?
I don't see a single post here at the time of your comment (or mine) in favour of an acquisition.
Let's see. In order:
ravens52- don't care
Eonjay-rather not acquire
Crows90-not necessary
Stuart5756-stay independent
seanpitt23- negative view of acquisitions, citing recent layoffs
DivineHand25- stay independent
Nacho _Z- no statement about...
I suspect Microsoft is only doing it because day one on Game Pass is quite expensive to maintain.
It's not about bringing more games to more people. It's about supplemental income.
If you take the industry as it is, it's true some of the time: games with different budgets have different profitability thresholds. But of course, it gets very difficult with so many studios; people only have so much money and if everyone is putting out games of similar quality, in practice, someone is going to get overlooked, especially if we look at the release windows. This year is off to a wild start with quality titles. There are dozens if not hundreds of development studios now. Wi...
Just_looken,
Playstation All-Stars was just not a great game. Can't say many people missed it going away.
Support hardly matters when a game just isn't fun to play. It is noble to some extent to try and keep things alive, but the mechanics were bad and it was vastly is inferior to Smash. I would rather play Brawl than Playstation All-Stars, and that says a lot.
It is one genre PlayStation hasn't really proven themselves in...
Definitely give Midnight Suns a download if you've got Plus.
It's great.
