Has nothing to do with Sony. Stay on topic.
PlayStation isn’t struggling. Xbox is. That’s the difference.
Sony also didn’t buy out multiple publishers with LOTS of studios and leave them in a state of uncertainty.
So, he’s absolutely right that Sony not following Game Pass in its entirety was smart as this very thing could have happened. Name a team, like Tango, who wasn’t struggling (like Tango) that Sony closed. Every closure was because of a studio who wasn’t pulling their weight.
No, Xbox crash. Nintendo and Sony are fine.
Deflection is the finest form of delusion.
Also gamers: “buying Activision is good for gamers”.
Just stop. Nothing about this is good.
That has far less to do with it. Cyberpunk takes a monster and has done well commercially.
The issue is who they locked out. No Steam release and no physical version currently has its fate sealed. Fixing those tow things is sure to turn some tides.
Exactly. They love their SonyToo instead of looking at everything in its totality. You spend $80B to buy up so many pubs/devs, you damn well should have something to show for it.
That said, this article is old and someone is clearly looking for clicks!
I do. I STILL have games (Gears of War being the big one) I cannot access because Games for Windows LIVE is total garbage and no one has held Microsoft accountable.
I own and have beaten the first game. Yes, the mental health aspects (particularly with headphones) was cool. Outside of that however, I don’t see anything new and unique from it (though I’m sure once it’s out, we’ll have a better idea).
Potentially the best looking game to release? Yep.
@GamerRN
I own the original. Unless it is drastically different from that, I don’t see what so unique. Visuals look fantastic, yes, but not a blowout if the best of the best currently out there. And, it’s doing far less.
Unique in what way? “Unparalleled realism” in what way?
“Exclusive” is not a word that jives with Xbox and what’s embarrassing is that a $3+ trillion company has the trouble in this industry that it does and its most ardent fans don’t demand better.
Besides, if we’re counting console/PC games as brand exclusive, why is the $3+ trillion company’s Goldenboy begging for Helldivers II instead of MAKING a competitor for it? Also, how are Rebirth and Ronin working out for ya?

Xbox is doing so good, they're releasing their games on PlayStation and Nintendo platforms too! Here's a tip — if they had a true stream of games that people actually wanted to play, they wouldn't be in the market position they are in now.
Except that the deal wouldn’t have gone through with CoD as an exclusive.
That’s….. not how it works. At all.
Aaaand, you win this discussion! 😀
My man, much of this dame doubt was cast upon us before those 4 games released outside of Xbox/PC and here we are yet again. Of course, Microsoft could easily put this to bed if it weren't true, but they don't. The smoke coming from whatever fire is real.
Going full 3rd party? Not quite so soon, but I'm inclined to believe the rumors of many more Xbox games coming. It makes sense as Xbox console sales have largely dried up and it would be silly to ignore the muc...
As the saying goes, we’ll see.
Sony isn't bringing everything to PC and have never said they are. Whether that changes for PS6 remains to be seen.
Microsoft is the only one who's games not only all come to PC, but do so day and date.
Exactly.
