Not even the data for MW2, its not like you are installing the full MW2 game itself, just the HQ stuff which is basically no longer tied only to MW2
You dont need it, its a misleading article.
Someone decided to say COD HQ is the same as MW2. COD HQ is just a dumb HUB they created (starting with MW2) and its from where all COD titles will launch from now.
It doesnt launch from MW2, the article is misleading as hell, they are just quoting a random comment from someone that decided that COD HQ is now the same thing as MW2 (despite already knowing that all future CODs will launch from HQ)
It is a dumb hub, but you dont need to have MW2 to launch MW3
This is just a completely terrible article generated from an even worse comment made by someone.
They launched COD HQ to be a HUB for all future CODs and now MW3 launches from there. Whether these kind of hubs are unnecessary steps or not, you are not launching MW3 from MW2, that is just plain misleading.
It will be like saying that next year’s COD launches from MW2 just because it will also launch from COD HQ
Putting aside the fact that it is obviously an overpriced DLC turned full game, I dont really get the point of the article and headline to what is actually being quoted.
They say “MW2 launcher is now MH HQ”, which in itself seems like a strange quote because it was already known all future COD games would launch from HQ (whether thats good or bad is a separate topic) from which you can launch MW2, Warzone or DMZ seamlessly, but if you launch MW3, it closes HQ and launches a...
Based on Steam Hardware stats, the VAST majority of Nvidia users should have access to DLSS, not sure where you are getting that 40% from.
Only like 25%ish is still using GTX1000s cards based on their stats
Yes that was part of the deal, but it would also be a bit disingenuous to think it means full independence and no decisions have to go through Sony.
I would find it hard to believe that if one of their “divisions” will do something as big as laying off 10% of their staff, that its not something that has to be brought up with Sony.
The point of the article is I guess more about saying the layoffs weren’t ordered by Sony, not that Sony is completely out of ...
Except they arent, they are now just a division of Sony and only answer to Sony.
Even before they werent technically publicly traded as in an IPO, they were an LLC. They still answered to members, not shareholders and they didnt issue stock either
The shimmering is definitely because of FSR2, it just doesn’t work quite as well when starting from lower resolutions. I believe they also mentioned it in the PC review. Its quite the difference when compared to DLSS at the same settings (and obviously consoles will use FSR)
On PC the other setting that affected it(though it carries a bit hit to performance) was the post processing quality being either low or high (consoles matching the low setting), since it defines whethe...
DLC map packs were always a terrible thing, they completely broke the matchmaking pools. And making them free is clearly not possible right now with how expensive development is.
Many things of the live service model have been taken too far due to corporate greed, but keeping consistent free content updates across the entire player base is definitely not one of them.
While I agree that clearly going to be a rather small (and to be honest, pathetic) minority, just look at this comment section and even just your comment and replies to see that those kind of people are indeed (and unfortunately) there disliking anyone that says anything positive about the mission (which was indeed quite good and interesting)
The headline is pure misleading clickbait
The actual quote is that there are plenty of people to make sure that the PC version will be as good as it can be (in reference that he only worked in checking the console versions)
“ have more than enough folks to drive the PC quality to as good as it can be.”
Talk about a clickbait trash headline…
For me it was about 2-3 hard crashes and 2 instances of cutscenes going black (but still had audio), though thankfully the game autosaves right as the cutscene starts so when I restarted the game, it jumped right into it again rather than skipping it (or having to redo the whole fight)
But overall, during normal gameplay it was pretty bug free.
Same with Starfield, a couple of broken sidequests that I have no idea if they already fixed and 1-2 hard crash...
Well, to be fair, they didnt can it for Gotham Knights, Rocksteady just jumped to Suicide Squad which has been in development hell for quite a while. In an ideal world, they wouldn’t have taken that long on it and we would have seen them continue with either Batman or other DC stuff
If you dont have VRR enabled on your TV, there is no reason to use it in the game either, it changes the dynamic resolution scaling a bit and whenever the game drops some frames, it will cause tearing.
Granted, you are unlikely to note them since it usually stays there and the smooth option doesnt really try to go over the target framerate, but it literally doesnt help you in any way if your TV has VRR disabled
Why though? If he doesnt have VRR enabled on his TV, it will only cause the game to tear if there is a drop (not that it happens that often) and provides literally no benefit to him, if anything it will also affect the dynamic resolution range to be affected too
Fidelity mode with uncapped framerate is 40-60, might get higher looking up at a wall or the sky I guess. It’s the uncapped performance mode that goes up to the 80s
For Fidelity VRR, I would actually recommend the Smooth option instead, since the VRR window in the PS5 actually starts at 48fps, not 40, so anything between 40 and 48 will not actually be using VRR. I still like that they have those options already though, it means they dont really need to do a patch for the ga...
I think its honestly more about the art in Horizon than the tech (not that the tech isnt impressive too). It even took them a couple of months to really enhance the performance mode which really took a hit at launch and thats without RT.
Visually I even prefer Ratchet to SP2, though again, SP2 might be technically more impressive.
All in all, either with Wolverine, Ratchet or something completely new, I really want to see Insomniac really expand all this ...
Reading the temperature with a camera on the exhaust ports outside of the unit is NOT an accurate measure of anything
